His attorneys have talked to his past attorneys , & now know that #1 He will trash them in the press, whether he wins or loses the verdict. #2 They further know that they will have to sue him to collect their payment .... whether he wins or loses the verdict.

Team Trump is counting on toppling the Justice system and American Law altogether. The MAGAts will help him do it.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even more surprising is the amount of attorneys willing to work for him for free

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They had a look at his actual financials, learned he owes more than he earns and bailed knowing they won't be paid.

Because they know he’s a piece of shit.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would pay really good money to watch him represent himself

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Since he doesn't listen to his lawyers and MAGA folks send him cash, I'd just like to point out that many - effectively - do.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I thought the point was to stall the trial enough to get re-elected and get immunity.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its not because they'll lose; they'd get paid either way. Its that Trump won't pay them, just like he hasn't paid lawyers before. They know he'll stiff them and they don't want to do all the work for that deadbeat then get nothing.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think there are top lawyers enough who don't care that he is guilty but they do care that he doesn't pay them.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

and care about the fact he won't listen to people and throw tantrums when someone tells him what he wants is either illegal, impossible, or bad for him. A lawyer didn't put themselves through law school and pass the bar to babysit a 300 pound toddler

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But cheating people who work for him is why he’s so great - MAGAts

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But I’m just mad the meme is used wrong… it’s supposed to be a sarcastic “using your brain” meme….

Conversely, the DOJ understood how rock solid their case had to be to avoid being discredited. They would not have brought charges as a political move to hurt trump's chances in the election, they would have been eviscerated by any federal judge that heard the evidence. However this is all MAGA and their enables can cling to as it's exactly what they've been trying to do to the Bidens.

I don't think even his followers think he's innocent, they're just mad the liberals and the brown people are making their hero follow the rules. They've been too disingenuous for too long, for anything else.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Unless those attorneys enjoy getting paid...

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can a sitting president pardon themselves? Looks like this will be a long trail and will not happen before the next election.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They know they'll be a target if he is convicted, which seems likely with the evidence presented.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair- they just want to be paid. Trump never pays anybody. I mean.. that and he refused to listen to anybody so he may contradict something you signed your name and reputation to...

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So, what are you saying? Is this the Art of the Deal?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe, but the lawyers who would otherwise represent him have gone on record saying that it's his tendency to avoid paying out fully what is owed (or sometimes not at all) that is keeping them from representing him.

3 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

And try to get them to do the impossible or illegal (or both) and throwing hissyfits when he's told no

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He also doesn’t keep his mouth shut which makes their job more difficult. There’s a legal aspect to my job and we regularly have clients screw things up by talking to the other side when specifically told to let us do what we do

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

that and trying to coerce them into joining him in the crimin'.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

News flash, if his followers were smart enough to understand this, they wouldnt be his followers.

3 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 0

Oh you believe a lot in those people

inject bleach, nuke a hurricane, never pay lawyers while weathering a storm of lawsuits because you're a conman

MAGA stands for "Making Attorneys Get Attorneys".

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes I too have seen the video where that woman explains it.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who is the yabo they found?

3 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 2

Some court-appointed public defender maybe?

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Trump would hire from Russia or Iran before he let a public defender represent him.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

He'd take free money any day. But yeah, a lawyer from the Kremlin would be more fitting.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"His search for a specialist national security lawyer, eligible to possess a security clearance, was also unsuccessful – leaving Trump without an expert to help him handle the Espionage Act charges." "His attorneys Todd Blanche, an attorney handling his case in New York, and former Florida solicitor general Christopher Kise joined him in court after several prominent Florida attorneys declined to take on him as a client." Smart, trustworthy people don't want to work for Trump.

I’m sure he will use it as grounds for appeal, “it was the worst fake trial in the history of trials, so unfair, illegal prosecutors knew too many things and lied so much”

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So he can't find someone who would pass a security clearance. Yeah, that makes sense.

3 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Honestly though, if Trump can't find a Defense Attorney, the Court would appoint one as per our justice system. Which now has me wondering if there are any Public Defenders with Security Clearances?

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I got a security clearance as a civilian and it took a few months to process. I imagine this one is more stringent but also they could fast track that person's request given they meet the criteria

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah but what kind? Secret or TS? Betting secret.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're resigning because a brand new legal team can petition the court for extension on extension. Donald's team are hoping to drag it out til the next election, which they hope to win, when he'll pardon himself for all the crimes of which he's definitely guilty. It's stupid, but that's the plan. In the meantime, see him trumpeting that victimhood to stir up as much support from his idiotic base as possible. And those idiots VOTE. So don't take it easy next election.

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

This tactic doesn't work indefinitely, though. At a certain point, the judge can disallow lawyers from abandoning their client.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Do you think this particular judge would do that though

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More importantly to him at this point, some of those idiots are willing to try to start a Civil War for him. He will try to burn the country to the ground rather than go to jail or even admit wrongdoing.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

No doubt. Although he won't be able to obstruct police response while he's not in office, so I think it'll be shut down far more quickly than the Jan 6 attempt. One hopes. Otherwise, I think more of the same escalation of violence. Right-wing nuts are already the majority of mass shooters, & the instances of mass shootings has been climbing over the past years already.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying there won't be a lone wolf or two, but I don't believe there will be Civil War 2: Meal Team Six. There's been ample chances for them to start it, this past Tuesday for example, and they haven't. It seems the ones most willing were at 1/6 and are behind bars or being closely watched. I believe the most vocal MAGAts online are either trolls or bots. Again, I could be wrong and they're just biding their time.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't believe that there will be any major violence, either, but that still doesn't make it any less of a goal to that gangrenous undulating infectious pustule he calls a brain.
