In the old days I could just SYNC and drag songs to the location to accept the files. Trying to transfer three music CDs from computer to an SD chip to put in my car. Tried SYNCing, Win11 shows the chip (E:) but won't show the files to be transferred. Win11 is the worst piece of homemade shit that MS ever generated.

Are the files in CD or MP3 format? If they're on CD format, you'll have to rip the CD to disk first.

I'm not sure what "SYNC" is, but you need to rip the CD's. You also probably need to format the memory card (it's not usually called a 'chip') with FAT32 instead of NTFS to ensure that it's readable on all devices.

Lol. USER ERROR. The problem is YOU, not windows. Just fucking google how to do it man. you NEVER were able to just drag tracks of a cd, there's a step in between. In the past you probably had a THIRD PARTY APP that added this functionality to winexplorer.

Yeah, I find it's easier for me to torrent music or movies than to go to the other room, find the dvd and play it. 1.5 gigs to download? That's like 2-3 minutes. Since I have a media share set up for my house, now it can play on all media systems, all the cheap Fire TV's, tablets, laptops, computers...
