Are these the thick thighs everyone talks about?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This method, braising, is one of my favorite ways to cook meat and vegetables. Ingredients are quite interchangeable

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I lost my recipe for this one that I got off a Campbell's soup label

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Protip, you can make your own chicken stock from the bones you pull out of those thighs.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This looks really good and also manageable. Thanks for sharing, @op

This is from the Tasty app. It’s called Paprika Chicken & Rice Bake. https://tasty.co/recipe/paprika-chicken-rice

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chicken and rice with no vegetables does not sound healthy to me

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So is anyone actually going to join a Facebook group from imgur.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Would this be considered healthy?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my mom makes this and does it on the stove, its really good

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Perhaps just white rice with the pan deglaze as a sauce?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How do you block people on here! I get enough ads on Facebook ?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Be careful not to over fry the chicken, otherwise it'll be dry after 35 mins in the oven. Really hot pan, nice sear on each side only

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

So someone cooked a dish? Revolutionary.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Nothing especially healthy about that. Much healthier if you remove the skin and then bake it. FACEBOOK is a SHIT source for anything

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Beware of your salt, etc amounts, 1st lot looks more than a tsp, then adding unknown quantity in chicken stock, plus what looks a big pinch.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Literally chicken and rice with seasoning, hardly groundbreaking

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Hell yeah

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did they put that in oil or water?

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Chicken seared in a little oil but broth added to the onion and rice mixture before the chicken is returned to the pot.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

With a bucket load of salt..

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Only a pinch over 1tsp. That's not that much, depending on the saltiness of the broth

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Thanks!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s way more than a tsp each of spices at the start!!

4 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 2

Yeah should be about tablespoon

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Looks like nearly 2 tablespoons

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well, they started off with imperial measurements and then went to metric. They fucked up somewhere.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well, they're doing five thighs, so, teaspoon each maybe?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Cuban Arroz con Pollo: similar in execution w a few more steps +extra ingredients but imho a far superior outcome. Look up ytube how 2 vids.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Chicken and rice. Its not exactly groundbreaking

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

This

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Some people eat fast food and prepackaged junk for every meal. For them it could be.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

parsley is useless. leave that shit out.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Visual interesting makes dishes more enjoyable to eat.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hmm, salted chicken, salt in the chicken stock and more salt added. That's not at all healthy.

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 15

She added 1 tsp of salt to over 1 1/2 lbs of chicken, that is probably UNDER salted for that amount of meat, then just used chicken stock(1)

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

(2) To braise the chicken and cook the rice, which if you buy chicken stock to your taste will be properly salted, for your taste....

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

(3) I buy chicken "bone broth" because it generally comes unsalted or extremely lightly salted, and has more gelatine, but that means more..

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

(4) Salt required to be added. The end "salt" step is where you, as a cook, adjust the salt to your prefered levels.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I appreciate you taking the time to break it down like this. A review article in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology concluded

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Arroz con Pollo! the staple of Latino grandmas the world over! makes me miss mine, she was a saint for sure.

4 years ago | Likes 297 Dislikes 1

I also choose this guy's dead Latino grandma

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My mom and grandma's are just so freaking good. They won't share their recipes, they just say "add this, add that, you're good" .....bitches

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I was trying to remember the Spanish word for rice. My wife makes this.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

An aroma from heaven.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm always hesitant to try these recipes since the last time I did it was an absolute nightmare, but your comment sold it for me. It's in >

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

my food folder now thanks to you.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It’s literally “arroz con pollo”, but it’s not actually the dish Arroz con Pollo as Hispanics make. This is from Tasty, Paprika Chicken 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

& Rice Bake. https://tasty.co/recipe/paprika-chicken-rice , real Arroz con Pollo looks nothing like this. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So how does the real deal look and how does one make it?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Usually, but not always, the rice is tinted yellow by the seasoning used while boiling it. The chicken is in pieces in the rice and various

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

…veggies are in the rice too. Saying it’s “simply” rice w/ chicken is the reason why a bunch of people mislabeled this dish. You can also

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Arroz con Pollo is simply rice with chicken. Learn from the traditions but don't limit yourself to them.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Too bad we don't have chickens in England right now

4 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 3

too bad your a drama queen more like it

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Did... did they have to go back to France because of brexit?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What are you on about??? most of our chicken is domestically sourced, did it fly away to france or something?

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Damn Welsh chicken bandits.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

thought Boris had arranged for you guys to receive US chlorinated chicken?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Lamb?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You could "Morocco " it up a bit and make a lamb tagine with a bit of cous cous on the side.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A lamb and rice is fine, too.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Unless it's a joke I'm missing, how come?

4 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

No idea. No supermarket near me is low on chicken. I've even been able to get some reduced because they have too much.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

We’ve seen sporadic availability of items. Sometimes a normal abundance, then other times you can’t get things you want.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I think the pandemic may also be contributing.... Shortages on random things sounds similar to many places all over the world right now

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Brexit. People should be careful of what they wish for

4 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 4

They took our JOBS…. No wait we want them to do the jobs now!!

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

So wait.. are there no workers 9n chicken farms, or was all the chicken from outside the country and there's an importing problem?

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Don't count your chickens

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Just yesterday had a brexiteer ask me what restrictions I thought brexit had brought. Apparently he hasn't noticed anything yet.

We deported all our lorry drivers and now we're having issues getting goods delivered

4 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 2

I wonder if they'd consider a fully vaccinated yank as a lorry driver?

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Amazon is hiring. They are even providing free piss bottles now.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You don't have chickens in England right now? O.o

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yer Brexit has screwed us massively. Major shortage in many things. Significant of our packing staff were from Europe now they sent home

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Holy crap. Didn't know it was such a big effect.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who could have possibly foreseen this... /s

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yup approximatly 70-80% of all items at supermarket have been affected in some fashion. supermarkets are spreading items out to hide 1/3

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

missing stock but when you have to change brands to a more expensive brand cause they cant make enough you start to notice bad. the 2/3
