Since 2013 I have traveled all over the US to create live Etch A Sketch art at all different types of events. Event work is so fulfilling for me. I love connecting with guests over shared interests in nostalgia and whimsy, and there's nothing better than hearing their excitement over seeing their request come to life!

I would LOVE to work an event in Europe! Back in 2014 I worked at a fashion show in Paris which was super fun but I didn't have time to travel more beyond that.

My favorite toy growing up was this digimon transforming toy. It was Greymon that could digivolve into MetalGreymon. It even had the chest action missile that I remember losing at some point. I no longer have that little figure but I had many memories of playing with it with friends.

My favorite toy was a stuffed animal named Brown Bear. I gave him so many Eskimo kisses that the felt on his nose wore off.

Favorite toy growing up: Battle Beasts. My friend had a bunch and I really wanted some. Xmas, my dad gives me a garbage bag full of them (in packaging, of course), like he grabbed one of every kind from the shelf. I still have them.

Do you find it harder/easier with longer nails vs short? Or do they really get in the way at all because you mostly use the pads of your fingers?
Favourite toy growing up was my Shogun series Godzilla toy, though compared to actual Godzilla he kinda looks like a lumpy pickle

My fingernails don't affect my Etch A Sketch drawing til they get to around the length seen in this video - normally I prefer to trim my nails by that point! The moment it becomes more tricky for me to type on a keyboard, I know it's time to clip em. And aw yay Godzilla is a cool choice! Did you build structures for your Godzilla to knock over? lol

The wooden maze toy with the metal ball. You would turn knobs to tilt the maze and avoid the holes.

just realized the evening workshop specifies young adults - if your friends decide they'd like to attend, feel free to let them know I'm personally okay with it being a mixed age class (the kids are always pretty well behaved) but it may ultimately be at their discretion! Transformers or Lego… it’s a toss up

I always sucked at transforming the transformers but I was really into making Lego houses with a buncha random bricks! I've used Lego for a buncha random vaguely structural stuff too, like my first mic stand for my Shure. It wasn't the sturdiest but it got the job done well enough haha

I had this blue plastic canal thing that made a squareish loop that you filled with water. It had a little boat and little plastic sliders for locks so you could move the boat up and down as along its canal track. There were probably other parts to it that I don’t remember, but I used to LOVE playing outside with it. Just moving the little boat along and using the simple locks to move it to the lower part of the canal.
I wish I knew what it was so I could see it as an adult.

Not really. We had a small pond, and it was Michigan, so water was kind of all around. I’ll have to ask my parents if they remember it.

I actually found it online last night. It was called AquaPlay and the set number was 402. Apparently it had a little hand operated pump based off of the pictures I saw. I put a link in response OP’s comment.
