You can't get the original, but you can get the madness returns and then edit a .ini file to make it think you have the special edition and give you the dlc, which includes the original American Mcgee's Alice.

NP, one of my fav games from back in the day. When people were still trying to figure out what they could do with id software's 3D engines, the first Alice came out and it was this bolt of brilliant creativity instead of the usual military focused shooters

I'm actually creating a mad hatter cosplay from madness return right now. I wanted my wife to play as Alice, and she agreed but bailed last minute going for something more ordinary. Ugh. I picked the wrong girl obviously.

For the record the Queen of Hearts one (i think? Its been a while) is a really good one both on aesthetic and keeping recognizability for the character, if recognizability is something you care about

Extremely cool concept, but it was a lousy platformer. Even for its time. Best off as a decent game. It's just your nostalgia talking.
