In action. The bit of shake is due to the auger bit being on the top hole and the shaft being slightly smaller then the bit. I have since corrected. I used a Parker LSHT hydraulic motor to pair up to my tractors relatively low flow rate of 5.5 gpm. I teamed that up to a 10 tooth sprocket which drives a 36 tooth for a 3.60:1 ratio. I wanted an auger I could run both forward and reverse and mount to my loader for both down and up pressure. All total I have around $550-600 into it. It will go down the full 48" of the bit even in my heavy clay and even chewed through some reasonable roots.
