I open my beers with a Bic lighter, first failure in 10+ years.
The cap popped like usual, the rim fell on the table. Major faux pas holding it out to my date, "Is that a fucking ring!? We just fucking met!"

I've had that happen but the ring stayed in the cap. Just pour the beer through a coffee filter. Glass hurts coming out ! Cheers.
