Just kidding, I love Fallout.

This .. is eerie. I'm doing a fallout pbprpg. As a semi-sentient deathclaw character. Who got included into the party by a pale haired femme fatale with vampire vibes. And my character's horn was JUST chipped off in a fight. AND my friend from the game linked me that second picture!

Still kind of annoyed Fallout 4 only had the one city. Yeah it's a little nit pick but still.

Fallout is good, but could still be better with a human and a deathclaw hybrid couple doing the "rogue and warrior" thing

Just arrived home from Awoostria. Good to see imgur still has those posts.

I can't get into Fallout because I don't like when WRPGs with character creation ramrod you into playing a human character. I'm also not the biggest fan of the 50s-style post-apocalypse.

Big deathclaw husband?

There were sentient deathclaws capable of speech in Vault 13 in Fallout 2. But the Enclave killed them for being too peaceful and morally disagreeing with their creators. They pass the Harkness test. I, too, would.

Existence of Dragonborns finally confirmed!

#2 Exactly how horny your stealth-sniper player character gotta be to tag along with big-tiddy, fatman-toting deathclaw companion?

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yes?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd do that shit platonically if it means not having to worry about cazadores

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

he has a big gun

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's not that absurd. Fatman's effective range is way under a sniper's, so you hang back and pop heashots on the big baddies, she nukes the rabble that start getting too close... Hopefully have a minigun/multilas/etc for if they get TOO close

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I assume them getting too close is just another problem resolved by having a Deathclaw

Daftpatriot makes good scaly bois, especially ones of Dark Souls' dragon forms. Just gorgeous.

I love their Halo elites/jackals also. Hopefully more stuff someday soon 😃

Everyone wants to fuck the deathclaws, but no one is brave enough for the cazadors.

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't fuck a Cazador with Caesar's dick.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If there's a cazador that passes the harkness test, i'm game

He's dead.

Glory, glory, what a hell of a way to die

If they passed the Harkness Test, I still wouldn’t even hate-fuck them. The amount of times I died to them in New Vegas…

Speaking of sex in Fallout, I recently found there's kind of a throwaway line from Marcus in Fallout 2 that you can hear if you take him to the Cat's Paw and let him avail himself of the services offered. He'll say he hopes the sex worker he was with doesn't get pregnant. You have some dialog options asking about the supposed sterility of super mutants, and he says, "Nope. Well, not now. It takes a few years after bein’ dipped to get the juices flowing again. Why?"

The Master from beyond the grave in 3 voices: "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCKKKKK!!!!"

1 month ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Or, you know, keeping some humans around in safe, child-rearing communities and offering superhumanism as an opportunity to leave and join the super-society that ran the world. If only there were a few dozen facilities around California for keeping humans alive but isolated from the world...

Poor guy can't get a break! "I... don't think that I can continue. Continue? To have done the things I have done in the name of progress and healing. It was madness. I can see that now. Madness. Madness? There is no hope. Leave now, leave while you still have hope..."

Been playing Fallout Anomaly and they have this line from The Master as part of the menu music.

devs confirmed that Marcus was joking. Their immune system views gametes as 'damaged' cells, so if they regained sterility, they'd also likely lose their immortality. It was absolutely a throwaway line.

regained sterility? dym regained potency? i get what you were saying, if they became potent again the FEV could be losing effect and they'd loose their super mutant traits. but, sterile/sterility is when the lil lads dont be swimming. i think you may have goofed on the wording there.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

fertility/virility/potency is what I meant, yeah.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

FEMALE supermutants are totally sterile. You can find that out in the first game. The Master was so focused on the males that he forgot that it takes two genders to breed.

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

No, documents in the Lost Hills bunker and the ZAX mainframe in the Glow make clear that the FEV alters the human body to actively correct cellular damage, which has the knock-on effect that both spermatozoa and ova, as haploid cells, are considered incomplete and thus are attacked by the Super Mutant's immune system. So while their reproductive organs function normally, they don't have any gametes and thus can't reproduce.

If you try to tell the Master that his people are sterile, but forget to bring the BoS Holotape that proves it, you can still argue with him to get him to doublecheck. He will then say that all the males are perfectly capable of reproduction, you can then argue for him to check the females-- because you need both to reproduce. Then he has his standard surrender speech. I know this because I forgot the blasted holotape last time I played the game.

I just reread MASTER.MSG. He says his scientists have assured him that nothing is wrong, and when told to ask the female super mutants he learns the truth. Given what we know about the FEV from ZAX and Vree's notes, I'd wager that the males can ejaculate just fine (still shooting blanks, as the devs have said about Marcus' joke) but the females don't even have a menstrual cycle anymore and can't get pregnant, which is why -their- input is needed.

Never not have Goris in your party in a Fallout 2 playthrough.

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

“oh look, it’s just a guy in a cloak. He’s probably harmle- OHFUCKIT’SADEATHCLAW” - raider, probably

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

It's been forever since I played Fallout 2 so Goris doesn't ring any bells. I was a bigger fan of 1 tbh, probably because it was one of my first rpg's. I'll have to play them back to back one of these days!

Goris is an intelligent deathclaw - One of several nesting in the old abandoned Vault 13 - that you can have in your party, and he's awesome. And I don't care how butthurt Avellone is about them, they're cool.

Deathclaws in general are pretty cool.
