#5 “He died for our sins!” Yeah? Well he didn’t fucking stay dead, and it was also himself that decided they were sins. Feeding a fruit to a woman that doesn’t know right from wrong, and deciding it’s a sin because she ate it, even though he knew she would.
But she didn’t understand right from wrong, as she hadn’t eaten the fruit teaching her morality yet. And also if God is omniscient he knew ahead of time she would do it, and if omnipresent he didn’t actually leave and watched the entire scene, also since he is the creator, he literally created her to fail. Whole story is a weird paradox about an ass wanker, being a douche.
My headcanon is that the fruit was a test to see which was the first species that grew smart enough to question what they had been told, and humans were the ones who passed it. The prize, and punishment, was free will. The power to choose, and the responsibility to take the consequences. God pretended to be all mad about that, but was secretly proud of us.
The problem is that in the Bible the fruit gives knowledge, specifically of morality plus right and wrong. How would Eve and Adam know not to eat it, even when asked to? The whole thing is a mind boggling stupid paradox. Combine that with the supposed Omniscience it just gets worse. I like the idea of it being a test by some aliens that uplifted our primate asses.
God could have told mankind not to eat dogshit and it's the first thing they would have tasted. Why? Because we were made in HIS image. Curious, rebellious, overly self-confident, thinking we know what's best for others, punitive, quick to anger, unforgiving...
Something I never understood as a little boy - and totally pissed off the Sunday School teacher when I asked her - if we're made in God's image, why aren't we invisible?
I would legit consider becoming Christian if all of a sudden they came out with a genuine 2,000 year old book held in storage all this time which said, "surprise, motherfuckers; we WERE made in God's image, and he's a dick; the whole reason he created the universe was for us to learn to be better than him."
Surprise, Motherfucker! Mankind made "God" in his image, and you in fact CAN be better than the god of the Old Testament. Being better than Jesus is a bit more of a challenge. His "sins," if any, were mostly not recorded. You know, perhaps masterbating, or sleeping with the hookers he hung around with, impatience (fig tree), telling white lies (I am not going up to the Passover (John 7:8),
How about when he tormented his disciples in the boat, during the storm. Accomplished fishermen were terrified for their lives and when they woke him, he said "Where is your faith?" when they were in fear of drowning. Personally I think he was tongue-in-cheek, but I never hung around with him.

Jesus didn't die for our sins, he had a three day weekend and then bailed

#5 And it wasn't really even a sacrifice since he survived.
Atomic2
And even if he didn't, what sacrifice did he make? Dude was God, right? So dying means leaving this shitty place and being omnipotent.

Sacrificed a weekend of his eternity, more like.

He didn't need to stay dead. God only demanded blood, cuz he's goth like that.

Jesus gave up his weekend for your "Sins".

Well, the "aliens" in this instance would be God, or whoever kickstarted the "life on Earth" experiment, but I guess aliens works too.

Do good for someone who really needs help without letting them know who did it. You can be an invisible god too.
