real question- how are these guys to keep? I read mixed experiences with them, and have considered one when I get a dog at some point.

They’re bully breeds and people will always downvote anybody who likes or owns bully breeds. :(

They are rambunctious and silly. Great guard dogs. I could jog @ nite & no one could get near me w/o a snarl. Also had to be leashed though.

Rambunctious and silly I’ll agree with, snarling is something I’ve never seen from them towards humans and I own and work with them.

It was likely the temperament of the individual dog. He was incredibly protective of me. I think their faces (adorable IMO) scare people.
