This is Black Butt One (placeholder name, we haven't though of a permanent one yet), one of the two cats we adopted two months ago. She's almost completely black, save for a few white hairs here and there and a very small white tuft on her tummy (not visible). She's a bit of a senior at about 13 years old. She sometimes likes to meow loudly and incessantly for no obvious reason, to which we respond by picking her up and holding her - which is apparently not what she wants, since she only puts up with it for a short while. Very soft and squooshy.
This is Black Butt Two (also placeholder name). Daughter of Black Butt One, completely black as far as we can tell. If her mom could be described as silky, she's more of a linen. Also a senior girl at 11 years old, she's still fairly active at times. Likes to headbutt for pats and often hops straight up to sleep with me at night.
Finally, here's Goldie. We've had her for about four years, and is another senior at about 12 years old. She's never really warmed to me, and really only tolerates my mom. Strangers are right out. Kinda grumpy as well as Trumpy, as she is orange and has a wall (a baby gate that nobody feels like jumping) to keep the newcomers out - new cats would love to be friends, but Goldie would rather they die in a fire. Yes, we've checked with a vet to see if there's anything wrong that would make her grumpy like a sore tooth, but she's fine, it's just her personality.
