Very nice, reminds me of some of the airships from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. BRB, gotta go watch that again.

I said, get in. *points gun*

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can I ask what medium you use? This is so crisp and clean!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've used - Unipin fineliner 0.1 and regular 2H pencil

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Amazing

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ace Combat 7 is looking good!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No offence, and it’s a great design, but you gotta come up with something more creative than just “Behemoth”. It’s quite a generic name idea

The Old Crate

Grand Cetus? Cumulonimbus? Lil' Megaton?

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

FTLS Manticore, Battalion, His Furious Onslaught, UN Iron Fist, The Impending Doom, Devil Bird, Yokai, ThunderBird, Ol’ rusty, Deadmaker.

The puffy bi-hemoth.

Have you ever drawn any Warhammer 40k ships? I think I recognize the style.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

nope, never drawn anything from the wh40k. Can you share the artist who did?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Paul Jeacock, artist for Deff Swadron.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope, sorry- looked much more like AndrewChewie's

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry, no idea- not who the other guy said though. It looked much more like yours in terms of style, look, and orientation of the ships

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is some talented art. But the engineering in me is screaming in horror. Not nearly enough wingspan for the sheer tonnage of the hull.

7 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

This was my 1st thought, but I didn't want to be the Debbie Downer this time. So thank you for filling that role for me.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's clearly inflated, tho

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know nothing about this, but would it matter if the engines were able to provide enough thrust? I guess it’d be nearly impossible to land

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The takeoff speed would mean you'd need impossibly heavy gear, and impossibly long runways. Needs more wing area, for sure.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This as well as not being very fuel efficient in-flight due to the lack of aerodynamics causing extreme drag at the speeds necessary to lift

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, part of diesel punk is complete disregard for efficiency. Just throw resources until it’s strong enough to kill the enemy.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty much. Which is why it irritates me almost as much as steampunk. I know enough about actual steam and diesel to spot the flaws.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Get enough thrust and it'll still fly.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just claim it's a ground-effect aircraft.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Earth, no. But some Star Wars planet with half gravity and 10x atmosphere, perhaps.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Would be fun to read some analysis on this kind of aircrafts and how to make em real =D

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This, and anything resembling this, would never fly in our real word. But that really don’t matter, it’s art that makes you and others happy

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

From what I see the wings are too short and thick to lift the tonnage here, that fuselage is bulky and heavy.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Ehh with enough thrust you can make anything fly, see F-4 Phantom

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

With enough thrust you go fast enough to make anything fly. But this bulging and not very aerodynamic design would have trouble going fast.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I'd think the only way this "flies" is if it's in space and stays in space... And the look is a future version of nostalgia

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meanwhile your tail has a lot of drag with the quadruple rudder and exposed guywires.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't the split tail also create a lot of drag? Doesn't look like it guides air back there.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice, thanks! Always appreciate receiving some useful information
