It’s insane how far into authoritarianism the US has gotten when it was obvious it was heading in that direction.
It seems like if you get to the point where you are trying to stop a government that is on that road, there is a good chance it’s too late. It seems the best way to stop authoritarianism is to address the people who support authoritarianism in the first place. How? That’s the question democracies must answer to save themselves.

Capitalism naturally trends towards fascism as the capitalist entities seek to subvert the state and entrench themselves. Also the sociopaths that become oligarchs rather rule over a pile of shit, than live as kings amongst equals. To me, capitalism looks a lot like feudalism but where the capital holders also directly ruling. There is a reason the word fiefdom is often used to describe corporate cultures.
People managed to pry apart the exotics and government to a degree but society really needs the concept of separation of business and state.

This isn't Tiktok, even not all social media sites are that restricted. It's a non-audible version of those idiots who say "unalived" on platforms where saying "killed" wouldn't get you banned, or who say it IRL. It's not just stupid, it's unnecessary.

Yeah, no. Most self-censorship is unnecessary and not actually preventing anything from being censored. It is however vital to dictatorships that people believe they have to self-censor themselves. Makes it much easier for them.

The point is to evade auto detection not to avoid all possible censorship angles. Stuff like this weren't made for Imgur but another social media platform. Sure we are allowed to cus and discuss suicide and such like that here but that's not true everywhere.
