Sometimes the originals were just as good or better. Big Mama Thornton released this single in 1953. Covered by Little Richard in 1964, then famously by Elvis Presley in 1969. Personally, I think Mama did it best.

Big Mama’s album Stronger Than Dirt is one of my favorite albums hands down. Definitely one of the most influential and covered albums ever
