Honestly - it's worth teaching about the bible merely to warn some people.

They know it's unconstitutional. The purpose of doing it is to get it in front of the current Supreme Court and try their luck while the court is stacked with for the right. Now is their best chance. But it will be hard for even rw SCOTUS to allow after an ACLU lawyer will ask if the Five Pillars of Islam can be demanded to be incorporated in all curriculums. I'm sure Alito will find a way to single out the Bible as the only one allowed though.
