The mother of all mozzies. No banana for scale unfortunately.

We call them daddy long legs. I kill every single one i see.

That's a mosquito hawk. Which doesn't actually eat mosquitos. It just gets confused and flops around inside.

crane flies do not eat mosquitos, though that is a common misperception. In fact, adult crane flies do not eat at all.

as that article states, only in the larval stage

so? that means that by allowing them to live, you are staving off the mosquito population

mosquito larvae are just one of many things that crane fly larvae eat. but in general I think people should be nice to friendly bugs
