Yes it is. It looks like you were in south - Bavaria. I see some popular Munich sites. Germany has some beautiful cities particularly the ones that escaped Allied bombings during WWII.

Yes it is. My sister was stationed there for 25 years and I got to visit her twice. Once in Frankfort and again in Heidelberg. We saw a lot of castles, museums, and Oktoberfest! Girls are sweet, history is long, and I am very tall to them at 6'4".
Germany always has something new, or very very old right around each corner.
