The legendary phone in question

I thought this was a pretty decent response, very friendly, and wanted to share it with everyone here. Hope you enjoy it!

Rest in peace, 2G networks.

That's cool and all, but I like keeping up with my era. Like, fuck sticking with one device 13 years. Sorry.

better install a 3G mod to the Nokia

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Pffft...if I were the CEO I would have given him a free phone and 13 years of free service for that!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Battery is well worn when going from 7 to 3 days. Now it is when it goes from 2 days to half a day.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Next gen of nokias are old Blackberry phones. I'd be running one now, but T-mobile decided to charge for e-mail server nowadays.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those bastards. Dropping 2G as if it were hot

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Telstra fucked me over last weekend. Gonna be pissed about it for a while yet.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The battery lasts a week because it doesn't have anything to power

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I've had my Note II since they came out, but I don't expect it to last 13 years!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Me too, but it's a horrible device lately, hopefully the Note 8 next year won't be such a dissapointment like the 7 so i can change my phone

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Telstra are fucking cunts.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The Nokias are dying now, too? I know it's been said before, but 2016 is a shit year.

9 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 1

Forced retirement :( Hope they have a good 401noKia

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It is making a comeback with android next year.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Nokias survive. They outlasted the cell network that feeds them!

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

They will adapt and learn to feed off of 3G!

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

and then they will learn to feed of of us... Apocalypse 2017 calling it right now

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck dude, if we can survive 2016, whats an apocalypse?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Should've thrown in a new phone for this lad

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I lost it at "it outlasted any girlfriend i had"

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

did u really

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah but, to be honest, they never really had it in the first place

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Och

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't praise telstra. Don't

9 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

They're the only company that give a fuck about rural areas which is why the others are so cheap - they cover more than double the area

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'd rather give praise to Telstra for having a network that has access in such remote area where as Vodafone & Optus only care about metro.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

True but as soon as I moved back to metro after 4 yrs of Telstra, I couldn't get away from them fast enough

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's totally fair. I get that. I get an okay deal with for my phone on a BYO contract 12gb a month with unlimited calls & texts for $60.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

telstra is the devil

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

They always told me the devil would be attractive. The 180mbps 4G download speeds I get must be those haha.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You must go through your 500MB data allowance pretty quickly then. After all it is good value on their $90 a month plan :P haha

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha. Nah I get 12gb a month for $60 with unlimited calls & texts.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's all well and good to have a wide network but when it runs at 1Mbps in a suburban area it's hard to praise them

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Damn. That blows. I've never experienced that when I was in a populated area with them :/ Always had exceptional 3G/4G speed from them.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm with virgin who piggyback on optus towers, coverage sucks outside of the cbd and I'm only 20 mins from the city...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sounds about right. When I went to Tassie with a bunch of mates one was on Virgin he barely got reception outside of Hobart/Launceston heh.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only went for them because of the good data allowance, I see now why they have it, you can barely use any of it! So done with them.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ouch. Sounds like that's grounds for a TICO complaint in my opinion!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it would have been better PR if they offered him a new smartphone.

9 years ago | Likes 485 Dislikes 12

Was expecting this

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

But the shock from the sudden change to such a fragile device could kill him!

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

He could buy a big Otter box case

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! Telstra, giving away a smart phone! ha ha ha ha! (not laughing at you)

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well thats kinda my point, any other company would probably offer him a brand new phone for free but this is fuckin' telstra after all

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What was in the PM???

9 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

Knowing Telstra, it was a reminder to swap the SIM card to a 3G one and then a new plan offer :/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

As a former telstra customer i am pretty sure they are sending him a 13 year bill for mobile data from his Nokia 3315.

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0
