I don't have anything useful to add but whoever resin cast that die should invest in a pressure pot to clear up them microbubbles. Have fun in Norway.

You can do it without the bubbles. If you want. You can also revel in the infinite beauty of your imperfect creation. The very concept of imperfection was something you dreamed up. I've found a heatgun great for like flatter resin casts, coasters and stuff like that, especially if you can put them on a shake table or a washing machine to help them get to the surface. For big thick casts though I was using a harbor freight paint pressure tank with a PSI gauge added on. I believe was pumping it up to 30-40 PSI. It had a rounded bottom which wasn't ideal, but I remember making a little curved table out of cardboard to make a flat surface at the bottom.

I misread and was wondering why you could put a mold in a washing machine. Thanks for all the info!
