#9 gold!
eadanke
#9 I thought it was "bitchy but harmless".
spidrvampyre
#1 I miss Galavant. It was such a terrific show. Truly a shame it only got two seasons.
MadamPuddifoot
#11 I'm not great but I get this
somethingnotyettaken
#11 People who have really read the books will know that part of the Shire - the Bucklanders - were known to wear boots at times, however.
Iplaybadguys
It wasn’t until you said that, that I recalled that you were correct, lol, I guess it has been a while, I should reread them all :-)
somethingnotyettaken
:D Always a good plan! I haven't read in a while, I'm definitely due for another go around.
koalamonster
#41 I have a chocolate bar that is not for kids. It's illegal in several states, though, not something they'd be letting you have in the military (though maybe that changed? Unsure.)

You win the internet today!
ahorseelbowdeepinme
Chockity!
Ymris
#9 well that just about killed me laughing
worm61
#1 is from Galavant, a woefully unappreciated show that deserved way more seasons than the two it got.
LtGenObvious
#45 How do we know the the brain is ignoring the second 'the'; how do we know it isn't ignoring the first?
ADMNtek
Because your brain does this stuff all the time, it edits your perception to an insane degree. like the fact that your nose is always in your field of vision, but you can't see it unless you actually try. Otherwise, it gets filtered out. Or how I forget that I'm wearing glasses because my brain filters out the frame.
garbuhj
I think you misunderstood op's comment, they were making a joke about which of the 2 the's you brain skipped
Iplaybadguys
I know for a fact that mine ignored the first, because it took me staring at the sentence to see the first one haze into view like a desert mirage, lol
LtGenObvious
Did it do it again when you read my above comment?
Iplaybadguys
Yes, lol, goddamnit
StoopidCharlie
#46 becoming progressively more Scottish while trying to read these out loud
TheCryptid
#11 pretty sure everyone understands this. And "everyone" includes a lot of not great people
Iplaybadguys
Probably, lol, though there’s always someone in the lucky 10,000 :-p
stillnodog
#19 I DID edit a message today and it truly DID feel morally wrong. (Yes, I’m a millennial)
GerardEngelage
#47 You wash your hair in the toilet?
Iplaybadguys
Depending on the size of the bathroom, the shampoo bottle might be within reach, if not there was always soap, or lotion, maybe some cleanser under the sink, whatever it took to stave off the ennui of a long poo
TurnsOut42WasASlightMiscalculation
Back in ye olde days, people kept little baskets near the toilet for old magazines and some books with short reads - inspirational bits, prayers, jokes, etc. - for just such occasions. I sort of thought that was the entire reason for the existence of Reader's Digest
Iplaybadguys
And the farmer’s almanac was toilet paper - I kept a book in the cabinet, but sometimes you’d take the book out of the bathroom cuz it was a good part, or, it was the kids’ bathroom and you got nothing
TurnsOut42WasASlightMiscalculation
Oooh, humble brag here about having a "kids' bathroom"! Must be nice /s
Iplaybadguys
lol, I don’t have one, but my parents did :-p
TheCunningLinguists
#5 Good one @graehall
Iplaybadguys
Agreed, lol, I literally shouted in laughter :-D

#16 At first I thought this was a cassowary, and I was immediately impressed and terrified by whomever had big enough balls to put fake bunny ears on a cassowary. It turns out it's just an emu.
Iplaybadguys
Would it be funnier or scarier to be chased by a cassowary in bunny ears?
?2
KuldFyt
#3 Joke's on him, he'll wish for sub-standard once he's met Eowyn.
oldguyexlurker
#14 I got a blank one. When I showed it to my wife she said simply, "When one cannot see the future, all one can do is the next right thing." (I won the wife lottery)
RatOnnaStick
Mine had an advertisement on it. :S
Iplaybadguys
My jaw would’ve dropped, before doing the Fry squint, unsure if they were a robot or a second coming of some kind of deity, that’s some wise shit, lol
oldguyexlurker
It was a quote from Frozen 2. Beautifully timed. Kind of like when we were finishing Golden Child and our (then) 5yr old walked in and asked why the little boy was touching the girl's toe. My wife IMMEDIATELY replied, "Because she's been mostly dead all day." I fell off the couch we were laying on.
Iplaybadguys
Ahh, a fellow collector of quotes! I swear that my brain is half quotes, lol
tuxedobob
I also watched Frozen 2.
galfisium
My last fortune cookie was empty. EMPTY!!!
oldguyexlurker
It wasn't empty. It was filled with love. Just no paper.

Is your wife a Buddha?

#30 and yet as Socrates said: the more I know, the more I realize I do not know
Iplaybadguys
I operate more on the Cartesian Universal Doubt lol
whatspaulplayingtoday
#1 Is that Timothy Omundson? If so, what is this from?
Iplaybadguys
Yep! It’s from Galavant, a small two season show that was fantastic! Fantasy/musical/comedy, sadly no third season, but you should go check it out!
whatspaulplayingtoday
Thanks so much! I'm a big fan of his from his Psych days.
Iplaybadguys
He was brilliant in Psych, his character is muuuuch different than Lassie though, lol, still brilliant (possibly the best actor in Galavant, unless you count Vinnie Jones playing… Vinnie Jones, lol)
whatspaulplayingtoday
I mean, I do love Vinnie Jones, so I certainly won't let that stop me. Is this character anything like Timothy's performance of Cain in Supernatural?
Iplaybadguys
Unfortunately, Supernatural is still on the todo list - TO is a silly, but sad goofball in Galavant, with a touch of Lassiter’s iron authoritarianism
ahorseelbowdeepinme
#7 my friend doesnt get it and i cant explain it to them because i dont get it either
Iplaybadguys
Fem: spinny dress/skirt, masc: pockets
ahorseelbowdeepinme
Ooooooooooooh. I got the spinny part but the pockets escaped me. Ty!
SoulN8
#27 I’m no expert but I seem to recall that in America, student loans are the only debt that can be pursued after death by going after relatives to pay it back. Am I wrong?
Iplaybadguys
I don’t know either, but I wouldnt be surprised. You could come up with the most unhinged capitalist dystopian nightmare scenario and I’d believe that of us (I’d check and make sure that you weren’t lying, but I’d believe it first)
lordnequam
You have to supply proof of death, but they are discharged: https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/forgiveness-cancellation/death
You might be thinking of private student loans, which are not required to discharge after death (though most do) and can press a claim against the borrower's estate if they are not.
HulaJesus
#17 got this. Its oublie and its French for forget. Forgetting is very scary
Iplaybadguys
Oh yeah, I remember knowing that at some point. On the other hand though, oobly is fun to say

(I love SG1, doing a rewatch right now:-D)
Billis75
#10 It's always funny that this is everyones' image of Steve Austin, but us 80's kids had it different. So maybe this is when you do use lol.
Iplaybadguys
Depends on how you classify 80s kids, lol, I was born mid 80s, but also never watched wrestling, I only ever saw commercials (which annoyed me because I’d be watching Star Trek, and then my tv would start screaming at me)
RainierCamino
#45
Iplaybadguys
The first one, the “the” one, took me literally 4 reads to see lol
ADMNtek
not the weirdest thing your brain does to you constantly. 80+% of what you see is generated by your brain based on what it thinks should be there.
EntropyReign
#37 fucking OOF. but i buy warhammer models recently, and also video games. I do not use them sufficeiently enough to justify these purchases. That's my hobby.
Iplaybadguys
I walked by a warhammer store in London once, thought to myself “the contents of that store are worth more than all the Crown Jewels”, lol
JT1984
#19 You can edit messages?
Iplaybadguys
Not sms, I think, but iMessages, reddit posts, I think you can edit Imgur posts you make, add or modify, but I haven’t tried, just inferring from other posters
ahorseelbowdeepinme
#19 agreed
yossarian77
Editing is just gaslighting. "No, it was definitely 'the' and not 'teh'."
thesketchykid
Wait what? Like in texts?
ahorseelbowdeepinme
Anywhere. If i make a typo in a comment i dont delete the comment i just add an asterisk and the correct spelling write below the comment
ahorseelbowdeepinme
*right
iamlegendinjapan
Gallivant is such an underrated show
TheOneSin
I loved Galavant. It was part of my renewed interest in musicals
heroesblood
Seriously. I don't know what TV exec ripped a line and decided to cancel it but he was out of his fucking mind.
hyptosis
"Sir, one of our shows. It's... good. It's a good show, sir."
"WHAT!? N--OOOT ON MY WATCH!" *snoooooooooooooooort*
"S.. sir?"
"KILL IT."
"Of course, sir."
Iplaybadguys
I even wrote in to cbs(?) to try and convince them of greenlighting the third season, back then, but alas
ThisGuyPostingThings
ABC.
Iplaybadguys
Thanks :-) - I’ve slept once or twice since then, lol :-p
ThisGuyPostingThings
I can understand it. Hard to keep track when it's not obvious stuff like "Law & Order is NBC" and "NCIS & Blue Bloods are CBS".
iamlegendinjapan
They said they would do a third season after the Netflix success but the cast has moved on :(
Iplaybadguys
And Timothy Omundson had his stroke, I know he’s recovered, but I don’t know how much
worm61
That stroke broke my heart. Watching his recovery in the second and third Psych movies is so emotional. Especially as someone with MS who is staring down the barrel of severe disability myself.
