Working at a Vet clinic can be a little ruff...

So! It has been brought to my attention that a few people would be interested in hearing client/patient stories from the animal hospital that I work at, so I'm going to spend the next week gathering some tails (haaaaaa... haa... ha) from my coworkers and my boss as well as the ones that I have experienced in order to create something worthy of your Imgurian eyes. I would also like to extend an invite to all of you who work in the business of animals (anywhere from small companion animals to equine to marine biology, you name it) to message me your craziest client/patient interactions. I'll pick my favorites and post them up here soon! Also, I swear that I'll try and come up with a better title.

...maybe.

I had to put my dog down. She was very coherent, but she was riddled with cancer. She couldn't even walk. The Doc told me he could cut

out the cancer, but that it would most likely just come back as she was 12 and had never been spayed. She was in a lot of pain and I'm poor

so we decided to put her down. The vet asked me if I wanted her ashes. I had never been that creeped out ever.

"Do want your dogs burned corpse?" No. I'll keep the pictures. You dispose of the body. Weird.

That's actually really common. That's how we dispose of all of the deceased patients at our clinic and a lot of people like to keep (1/2)

them. If they don't/they vote for a communal cremation, the owner of the crematorium spreads all of the ashes somewhere on his property.
