I won't EVER knuckle under. I will always avoid ads. It just feels like a colossal waste of time and I'd rather forego the content entirely if it's mostly ads *cough magazines cough*
Don't waste your life watching ads. Install an ad blocker on your chrome browser and never see them again!

If you can't get that app, i use firefox with adblocker. It includes video ads being blocked.

You know you don't have to read magazine ads, right? You can just... turn the page anytime you want. Have you been sitting around, staring at them, waiting for little x to appear at the top?

Use YouTube ReVanced on Android. It automatically detects ads and self-promotions, n skips em!
