Right now, in a mid-size city, lab analysts and water operators are living at the water plant in order to self isolate. Why? Because if they and their co-workers get sick, your tap stops flowing. The same water supply is where a major brand of bottle water gets its product, so bottled water then becomes the next toilet paper. These people have given up on going home, are eating TV dinners, sleeping in RV's and working 12 hour shifts every day for two weeks straight. More team members are working at home to take over when their two weeks are up.

My wife is working from home as one of their leaders, because as much as she complains to me daily about wanting to go in and help, she has to be the back up and failsafe. I'm so proud of her and that whole team. Please remember them the next time you turn on their tap. Or flush your toilet. Or drink that bottle of (municipally sourced) bottled water.
