If anyone lives South Florida and has any info please contact fort Lauderdale police department. The flier has her sister's number listed but it's always safer to call the local police.

Update: Tamara has been found and safely returned home 4/10/26. The family does not want to release any details about the situation at this time. Thank you everyone for the concern and help. <3

@OP any descriptions of the tats? Im in the area and can ask my friends. But visible tats are much more likely to be remembered than generic brunettes in ftl (which is filled with a lot of generic brunettes)

Nah. I had a bad experience there once, beaten, robbed & dumped off 30 miles away out some dirt road in a swamp at midnight in my socks & underwear. Some asshole rednecks from N.Carolina down there for Spring Break hustled me. Thought I was gonna buy some weed, I got in their car. Bad mistake.
They took everything I had on me including my shoes. Dumb move, I know. I was young & thought I had everything under control. So many students, it's easy pickin's for people who are practiced doing crime.

Was wondering the same myself, as they seemed like unusual nicknames for someone named Catherine. Can I recommend editing the description to include that both eyebrows and nostrils are pierced, as well as both ears being gauged - it wasn't immediately visible due to low resolution of the photos at a quick glance.

Remember folks. NEVER contact people claiming to be loved ones. It may be true, but they may be dangerous. You never know, so it's best not to trust it. Google the local police number yourself if you have info, and they can handle the rest.

Sorry, to be a little more clear, non of her friends or family have heard from her, she is a teacher and has not shown up for work or checked in with anyone. I don't know her situation with direct family which is why you should always contact local police in case the person is escaping abuse. The local police department handling the missing persons case is listed in the 3rd picture.

There's a massive difference in no longer communicating with someone, then dropping off the face of the planet. Leaving family, all friends, work, and so forth. If you suddenly disappear and NOBODY knows where you are. Guess what? They're going to start a fucking manhunt for you. That takes up time and resources of people and especially emergency services.

Oh, I agree 100% that is what people will do. I 100% disagree that is the fault of the person who went no contact with everyone. Particularly when we are discussing it in terms of legality (which we seem to be) the closest you have is filing a false report, which is done by the filer not the subject of the 'manhunt'

That's not even remotely the same as this. Your argument makes zero sense in this instance. You can stop talking to anyone you want. Anytime you want. If you fucking disappear. No contact with anyone. Family, friends, co-workers and nobody knows where you're at, guess what's going to happen. They're going to assume the worst and emergency services will be engaged. And these kinds of things have already gone before courts. Guess what? It doesn't end the way you think it does. You get in trouble.

The law has nothing to do with this. The First Amendment does not apply to relationships between private individuals or organizations, only the government. If you don't want to be found, FINE, but the DECENT THING TO DO is tell someone you don't want to be found, so that people don't needlessly waste resources under the assumption that you are missing or worse, captive.

Sure. The First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments apply only to your relationship with the government. So, there is no law either way regarding freedom of speech (or not speaking, established by West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette (1943).
For private parties, there is just no law either way that either protects or compels speech. There is no law that says a person has to tell someone, nor is there one that protects free speech between private parties.
