First time pregnancy for both of us. We were so excited. We knew a lot of pregnancies don't make it. But I was so careful. And you never really think the bad thing will happen to you.
Now I'm here in the hospital, fucked up on endone. Can't even cry any more bc I keep waking up my room mate and she's got her own shit going on. The nursses are being so clinical about it all. The earlier ones were a lot more empathetic but they've all gone home now.
And so has he. They sent him home. And I'm worried about him. He's distraught but was trying to hold it together for me. I can't comfort him from here. He's such a good man and he doesn't fucking deserve this heartbreak.
Sorry for being a downer. Just needed some void screaming until I get home and can scream for real.
loopyloopus
I’m really sorry. My wife and I went through that recently. Just hold on.

As someone who has lost a child; Talk to someone if you can afford it. Together if you can.

So sorry for your loss. Try to avoid guilty thoughts. Life is rough.

I’m so sorry, OP. My mother had several miscarriages while I was growing up, I remember how crushing it is for the whole family and I feel—

Hey @snoffler live in the moment. Grieve. I am sorry. Tomorrow, keep in mind that my daughter who was conceived after our miscarriage 1/2

Is the greatest thing to ever happen to us. This moment sucks, but it can get better. I am pulling for you, good luck!
Enginerrrrrrrrr
I'm so sorry for you. Thanks for sharing your story because there are many other women that have endured the same. We need to remove so much
Enginerrrrrrrrr
Of the taboo on this topic to help women and their partners to cope when this happens. Good luck with working through it all.
Snowman25
So sorry for you :(
CaptMinion
If you can I would try and get a hold of his mom or a good friend to go be with him. I know I would not want to be alone at home after 1/2
CaptMinion
Something like that. If it's his friend tell him to just be there, no need to talk of he doesn't want to. Men are always perceived as 2/3
CaptMinion
Strong but something like this can mess a guy up and he may try to hide it. 3/3

I feel you. We have also had a miscarriage and it fucking sucks. Accept the grief, take your time and try again later.
Quizzlixx
Take the time you and your partner need to mourn. If anyone tells you otherwise, tell them to fuck off. //
Quizzlixx
It's no solace, but my sister had a few miscarriages before she welcomed her son. You're not alone. There's nothing wrong with you.
PrincessNausicaa
That's terrible, OP. Scream into the void of Imgur as much as you like. Later on, this might help: https://www.tommys.org/baby-loss-support
TeddyBearWitch
Cry as much as you need, Sweetpea. Miscarriages are really common, but that doesn't mean it's not really, really rough to experience. *hugs*

None of it is your fault. Be sad and grieve. Let him grieve too. Just don’t lose yourself to your sadness. Love each other and persevere…

And to offer a glimmer of hope, in a few months I’m officiating the wedding of my baby brother (6 years my junior). The years between me and

Him were filled with more “tries” and subsequent losses than most could bare. It eventually led to him though, and for that I’m grateful!

Went through 5 miscarriages, and two live births. There's a lot of agony, self-doubt, pain. I have two wonderful children, in their 40s. 1/2

My wife is just fine, but there was a lot of mental & body trauma. There are support groups if you need them, and faith helps some people.
ZK383
It's interesting you're concerned about him. Shows a lot of love. Time will heal this, take the edge off, but it does hurt.
mdkynyc
CNN did an article about miscarriages today and how it affects men. You BOTH need help. Happened to my wife and I just after marriage. My /2
mdkynyc
Inbox is open and I feel for you both. It’s rough but you can get through this!
DynAero
I am so sorry that you are experiencing this. Take the time to mourn and heal. (1/?)
Carrera26
Happened to my wife and I. It's terrible and I wish I could give you a big hug right now.
DynAero
It is likely you did nothing wrong. After I experienced miscarriage I read that 20 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage.
justyourfriendlyneighborhoodimgurian
Been there, it happens a lot more than you think. Nobody talks about it with close friends, I regret not doing that. Good luck, neighbor.
LordNergal
Not had to deal with a miscarriage from someone I love, but I've been there for far too many who have. I wish people were encouraged to be 1
LordNergal
open about this and there was more support. 2/2
Voxnobilus
I'm so sorry, it does prove that you guys can get pregnant and even if you do everything right things can happen. Cry when you need to
CoarseAndSalty
Miscarriage is brutal. You're loaded up on hormones to make you feel connected and that connection is lost. You're going to feel responsible
CoarseAndSalty
but believe yourself when you say you did everything you can. Don't hesitate to talk to a professional. Your mind is messing with you.
IWishIHadASoul
Sorry for your loss! We also have experienced that, but now we have beautiful twins, that drive us crazy always. Keep on trying. Even harder
parkydiver
I'm so sorry to hear that :(
BitchinBotanist
Ohana means family. We are here to give you love
DrDantheMedicalman
No one deserves this pain. Miscarriage is far more common that people realise and we dont talk about it. Hang in there 1/
DrDantheMedicalman
And dont blame yourself. It wasnt to be this time, and you should feel the loss but there will be time when it won't hurt as much 2/
DrDantheMedicalman
These events can't be predicted or controlled by you or anyone else. Don't let anyone tell you when you need to be done mourning. 3/3
Totallyscrewedinaustin
It sucks, and happens to more women than you think. And it's rarely talked about, which makes it hard because you feel so alone....
sayHelloJpg
Exactly, it's strange it's seems to be one of the few taboo things left in western society it happens way more then people think
PartTimeHobbit
This. You're not alone. My sister had 3 before they were able to have my niece. Lots of tears and lots of IVF-related shots and procedures.
butthurtnevergetsbetter
Just don't blame yourself. Shit goes wrong sometimes. You wouldn't be hurting this much if you didn't try your best.
kylozodaclown
My wife and I have been through this. Take your time. Cry when you need to. Don’t apologize. Talk to each other. It hurts but gets better.
kylozodaclown
Seems like cliche words but I promise it’s true. It still hurts to this day but we learn to live with it after a while. You’ll pull through.
kylozodaclown
I’m so very sorry for your loss. Truly.
justanotherwhiteman
Went through same thing a couple months ago but wife stayed home. The meds to make sure she was all cleaned out were kinda brutal. Hang tuff
PicassoCT
Dont think bad of the nurses, but the honest answers is, those that care and feel to much cant do that job longterm. They protect themselves
PicassoCT
from the hurt, that is your loss. Which his horrendous. Wish we could squeeze and hold you from here.
DBWhatever
I’ve been in your shoes and my heart breaks for you. Once your body heals, just be there for each other as you both work through your grief

To be pregnant is to wage war against the universe to bring something eternal into the world. This Battle is lost, the War is not #Goddess

Just because you aren’t a believer is no reason to belittle one who is! That’s your opinion.

Try to put religion aside for a moment an use logic - when grieving the loss of a loved one, does “it’s cool, this was part of the plan” >
