Native Floridians were not surprised by a video of a Naval staff member being attacked by a shark swimming in a nearby marina.
Bull sharks are able to survive in brackish and fresh waters, and since fishermen often clean and gut their catches at marinas they provide a strong attraction for sharks looking for a snack.
“Clearly that poor guy wasn’t a native Floridian. We would never swim in a marina. They are infested with hungry bull sharks like this one that eat scrap filleted fish cast over the docks.”
Despite the attack, the man survived and is recovering from surgery.

I've never really cared for swimming in the ocean even when I was little. My dad always dragged me out way above my head and I can swim just was never that strong of one.

Marina swim = dirty, boat fuel, fisherman’s dumpster for fish waste > Panama City Beach = clear water, good people watching, easy shell collecting, very shallow and rare to see any large animals.
That man definitely belongs on the Hathaway bridge.
