My data was compromised. I only knew about it because I checked something out of a random curiosity.
I don't even have either of these
So, how did I get compromised? Well... It turns out if you have Optum, then you DO have to deal with these asshats.
Turns out Optum owns Change. And UHG owns Change and Optum.
So I will now be on a phone crusade tomorrow because my credit has been severely damaged. There isn't an easy way to fix it that doesn't involve paying people.
This post is not just venting it's a warning to all. If you got a letter in the mail from Change Healthcare, that's not spam. Take it seriously.
As a reminder: Luigi did nothing wrong.

My company just switched to UHC this year. Last year I paid a $25 copay to see my doc with BCBS and now with UHC I pay $85 to see the same person. Same with procedures, everything is more expensive.

My BCBS copay went up to $50, but my out of pocket maximum and prescriptions went down. So we have that going for us, which is nice.
