I wouldn't say it's abnormal. A lot of people identify with actors and the rolls they play, which is why they mourn when they die.

I agree. You love someone you never met? I appreciate good acting but it has no bearing on my life.

Yeah, I guess I'm sad that they will never make more music/films, but I don't feel a personal loss from it.

Depends. Some are a pretty good invisible companions in life and it's like something is lost after they are gone.

I really thought he was a fantastic artist, and seemed a decent guy. He was just this huge figure who did amazing things. 1/2

It was a similar thing when Leonard Nimoy or Christopher Lee died. I feel like the world was worse off for it. 2/2
