She was an absolutely amazing chef. I liked her bold haircut and color. Rest In Peace

WTF?! How? Man... Fucking A one of my favorite chefs and Food Network stars. I still have one of my favorite cook books by her: "How to Cook Like a Rock Star"

Damn

It's interesting, every article I've read has refused to say she was a 2nd to Mario Batalli in Iron Chef for years. I know Mario had those issues years ago, but Anne's character really showed up in those shows and I loved watching her grow then. RIP for her, they said she was found unresponsive at 55year old. Still so young.

I always enjoyed watching her make pasta on iron chef. The dough was flying!!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay I'm wrong, there are newer articles up saying she was the Sous Chef. 12+ hours ago there wasn't any.

Loved her on BBQ Brawl, sad to hear about her passing 😞

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just remembered she is also the only team captain to beat Bobby in the 5 (so far completed) seasons of BBQ Brawl, back in S03 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBQ_Brawl#Season_3

I actually recognize her. She was a fun "food judge". May she feast on the many manas of heaven.

This is gold Jerry, GOLD!

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well she’s always trying random peoples’ foods… that kinda luck can’t last forever. 🤣

Yep, I'm on the right smart ass page!!

NO! I LOVED HER!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom liked Anne Burrell. My mom is dead too.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Omigosh, so young. I wonder what she died from. The way the article is written makes me suspect.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I guess some people like her but I couldn't stand her. She had such an overinflated ego and just trash talked constantly on Beat Bobby Flay.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Isn’t that the point of the show?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A bit. Some people made it entertaining. She and a few others just weren't fun to watch.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This sucks. I really liked Anne Burrell.
I've always been interested in home cooking, but her 'Worst Cooks' show introduced me to some really foundational stuff that seriously upped my game. The biggest being the concept of 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆, which improved much more than my cooking.
:(

I don’t do mis all the way but something that really helps me is putting all the ingredients I need (not measured or prepped) on the counter before I begin and put them away after I finish using them so I can keep track of what’s gone in without much thought.
It could help some others that know the timing of their knife skills and cooking times but want to cook seamlessly

Sounds like a cool person. I learned of mise en place from other sources, and now I practice it, and yes, it helped my cooking game tremendously. I used to try to prep while stuff was boiling/frying/baking. Sometimes that can work, but a LOT of time, it leads to rushed prep and overcooked stuff. It just helps so much with timing a dish to come out right.

My cousin, Jenny, was on the first season of Worst Cooks.

I had a dance student that won Worst Cooks several years ago. You just need to be a SAG member to get on those shows. They are all "actors". She won 180k though

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ya agreed. The idea to first get your shit together and do your prep work stuck with me from that show. It helped me separate the prep and actual cooking in my head and organize.

Wife watches cooking shows non-stop. I play games on my computer, but sometimes the show is just a major train wreck and catches my attention. I will miss the spiky hair and skirts she wore all the time. She had a definite style and didn't care what others thought.

This was my life pre-2018. Change it up, dude. She's showing an interest in cooking, you could start cooking with her and make it a team event.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was always amazed at how quick she could make pasta out of scratch. Made it look easy.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What did I miss?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

she ded

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, let's see. First the Earth cooled. Then the dinosaurs came, but they got too big and fat, so they all died and turned into oil. Then the Arabs came and they bought Mercedes Benzes. And Prince Charles started wearing all of Lady Di's clothes! I couldn't believe it!

ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?! I’m watching Worst Cooks in America right now! I just got into this show too. God dammit! What the hell, universe?

We live in a horrible place. Luckily soon I'll be out. I'd wish you luck but well.

Quick go watch the apprentice. We need to test.

My cousin, Jenny, was on the first season of that show.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If you are just starting it now you’re going to miss one of the seasons. Season 20’s winner killed her kid, so it’s been pulled from ask the streaming sites.

She hit a three year old with a belt for not eating her pancakes fast enough. The beating was so bad that the girl died from the injuries.
