This movie was hot garbage. Tried to watch it again on streaming and was glad I walked out of the theater the first time

I really wanted to like this film. I really did. Fucking hated it by the end. i wanted Predator Grylls, survive, adapt, overcome.

Instead i got Lilo and Stitch and worse Stitch. Its a shame cause visually its awesome and theres genuinely a lot of good moments in it.

Does she die?

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of fun!

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's too bad she won't live, but then again, who does?

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

(sings) "She's got legs...and she knows how to use 'em....wait."

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I finished watching this a mere 10 minutes ago. Perfect timing. Fun movie with more humor than expected.

Not as good as the original Predator, not as good as Prey, but way better than all the others, and infinitely better than every AvP.

5 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Honestly AvP's main failing was the busted-ass lighting that plagued the second film. Couldn't see shit.

Correct me if im wrong, but would your organs not fall out? Even if not, I think being severed above the pelvis would cause rapid bleed out.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not sure if you are kidding, but just in case you're not: This universe has Wayland Enterprises , so there are synthetic humans. Very advanced robots that can survive something like this

Lt. Dan you got legs!!

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This movie was just fun enough to not be bothered by the Disneyfication of the Predator franchise.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

And what would be the Disneyfication exactly?

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Making it trash

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The PG-13 rating and the story arc with the cute animal sidekick.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's only PG13 because of a loophole in the MPAA rules, blood and gore only affect the rating if it's red.

Tiny octopus watched this on the flight to LA, and it was not what he was expecting at all. Very much Predator: Road Trip. Also, the legs actress did a fantastic job.

Those legs KILLED IT.

I thought the whole movie was great but I didn’t quite buy the legs kicking ass bit. Same problem I have with tiny-woman-beats-up-big-tough-guys-by-twisting-them-around trope in other action movies. I don’t know enough about martial arts or physics to say it can’t work. Just for me it doesn’t *feel* like it would work. But it still looks cool and I enjoyed everything else in the movie

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

All other things being equal (Training, experience, etc) a good big person will beat a good small person virtually every time. It is hard to argue with superior weight, reach and strength.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That seems reasonable. And I know these are made up stories and the hero is usually a sexy cyborg/assassin/ninja whose superpower is that they are just *that good*. So I let my brain off the hook and just enjoy the movie

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For me it’s no less silly than a hero built like Jack Reacher sitting quietly in a bar until the bad guys say “there he is! Get him!” And he wipes the floor with them (one at a time of course).
“Fuck you boss. Look at that guy. *You* get him!”

She's a synthetic. In every A/P movie, they outclass humans in physical capability to the point where nitpicking a few human inches/pounds is just goofy. They're a near-unkillable machine; looking like a girl changes nothing about that.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s all true. I did wonder about how the legs could balance, leap, crush etc without the weight of the torso, but like you suggest, it’s all made up

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But her opponents we all also synths.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This movie was fan-fucking-tastic.

5 months ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 4

Actually has good ratings on RT. I'll have to check it out. Probably already seen half of it on YouTube though.

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Russia Today isn't great for film ratings. ... :D

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I never trust that site, it's based on what the critics say and they are usually very wrong

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's usually pretty close to imdb, plus there's the audience score. Where would you check?

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

RT has 2 scores now, right? Just in general don't trust anything the critics say.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You have not.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm exaggerating, but it's all over shorts right now.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

What the fuck is a short?

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

YouTube shorts. Short videos on YouTube. It's awful, I don't recommend it.

The weave of those vines* is different on the chest between the the actress and the dummy and that bothers me.

5 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

"Things 99.9999% of viewers will never notice" for 800 please, Ken.

5 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

The dummy also doesn't have ARMS, so I wouldn't sweat the vines.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It makes my eye twitch, too, but given that the dummy was/would never be seen head-on, and only used in wide-shots or if the focus was on Dek, they were like "Yep, good enough, we need to move on".

It’s too late. You are legs. You’re in too deep to escape the lie.

5 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

so you're the one on the left in #4? Loved the movie and enjoyed when the legs were kicking ass at the end of the movie.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Nah, nah, I was doing a joke about them introducing themselves, and the one on the left just going "L E G S"

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ah, I see, I read it wrong. Funny though

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The movie was a lot more fun than I was expecting. Predator: Buddy Cop

5 months ago | Likes 147 Dislikes 0

yeah. Knew the story it wanted to tell. Kept all the fluff to a minimum and focused on telling it in a fun way. Solid B/B+ movie.

Reminds me a bit of D&D Honor Among Thieves with its tight storytelling.

5 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Shit, I really should rewatch that DND movie, it's so fun. B movies that want to be B movies rule. I'll probably take the wife to cold storage this weekend.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I enjoyed it. I'm so tired of the hate train that follows every movie/show release.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

My 5 year old son and I watched it together and both enjoyed it. Was he too young to watch it, ehhh, yeah but he's used to monster movies so didn't scare him.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The only thing that scared me when I was 5 was the morg jumping out of the cave in the neverending story. Brrr, gave me nightmares.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At 5 years old, I knew all the words to Meat Loaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light." I don't judge ;)

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’m glad you thought that through. I myself was way too immature to handle horror movies or even “scary” movies like Jurassic Park until I was closer to 14. I was 16 when I started loving horror movies.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I seriously enjoyed this and the recent Prey movies, nice to see them stretch out with the world building.

5 months ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 0

Dan Trachtenberg was the perfect person to take over the franchise. He also did 10 Cloverfield Lane, and one of my fav Black Mirror episodes, Playtest.

5 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I just watched 10 Cloverfield Lane! They did an amazing job with John Goodmans character :)

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wanted to see that FOR YEARS, and finally saw it last year. It was amazing!

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

10 Cloverfield was great, I liked it a lot, and the related paradox movie. I didn't realize this was more of their work but it makes sense.
