Finally leaving printing profession. Was a good job for a few years, ok for a few more, the last few have been pure misery. Moving on to a better place. Best of luck to everyone out there in a tight spot, keep the faith. Don't give up on yourself, give up on your crappy job (it might take a while). Have a good weekend y'all. I hope to catch up on some Witcher.

I QUIT. did you print that statement as your last job?
Miller16of16
That would have been classic, but sadly missed that chance. Running a job right now that will finish with 5 minutes to spare B4 I clock out.

One company I worked for I started a wall of shame and wall of fame. We wood write people's names on it when they left.

You should mess around on the last day!

I'm thinking about flushing a work glove down the toilet on the way out, or just turning off the tank valve.

What kind of print work? I work with offset, inline, & digital for paper and packaging. I don't mind the work, but got issues w/ management

Have gone from sheetfed offset to dry toner digital, created the entire maint, training, service and got f'd out of 1/3 of my pay when the >

Wow that sucks, sorry to hear that happened. I've only been in the industry for about 4 years, I work prepress atm.

Place Im currently at made talked a big game about profit sharing. Found out they haven't done it in 15+ years, a few months in, feel misled

That's printing for ya. They'll bump you up quick and then you'll have to jump ship to keep up w/inflation. Get in a union shop if U can.
