So, normally, a "baby monitor" is a device (basically a walkie talkie with one side always trasmitting) that you put in small child's room so that you can hear them, so you can be in a different room. Since kids usually cry when there's a problem, they work aight.
Combine that knowledge with the title of the post and I think that should get you there :)

Nowadays, baby monitors typically include a video feed, so you can literally see if the baby is ok, but you got the basics right.
