Yes. They have jacks on the bottom that pop it up when you use compressed air.

Probably added safety. Have them working on opposite ends of the car so it manages to stay still and equally balanced

R Motorsport have indeed fielded a V12 GT3 in the International GT championship not DTM :) says so in your link!
