Replace all capitalized words with obscenities.

Tiny, wet paw prints everywhere.

Don’t call them cute. They are creators of chaos. And they just learned how to walk two weeks ago.

Kittens are like toddlers. Toddlers are like terrorists. W÷ do not negotiate with terrorists.

Some of my cats (adult cats) like to smack the water bowl from time to time. My theory is they are unable to see clearly the water level hence they don't know how deep the tongue needs to go. After they smack it and create ripples, they proceed to drink.

…yeah, I had already figured out the "replace capitalized words with obscenities" part 😅

Have a second source somewhere. Power outage = no water.

Was waiting for one of them to timidly try slapping the water.

don't worry, they'll get around to it

This may help with context

Cat 1: What's the water doing?
Cat 2: IDK water not supposed to be doin stuff.

Ok, so the problem with bowls is they aren't whisker friendly. Whiskers are very sensitive and will touch the sides of the bowl. Just switching to a flat saucer or plate could be enough, you don't neccesserely need a fountain, and it might be a waste of your money if they are scared of the sound it makes. Hope this helps anyone having these issues and contemplating buying one.

You know how they work, but if it us tapwater. Boil it before adding it to the fountain, good way to get rid of multiple things that gets into tap water.

I've heard that these things are not good because it tends to get their whiskers more wet, and the bacteria builds up super quick which can make them super sick fast. The latter makes sense because it's a closed system - probably best to clean it every time a full refill is needed.

I drain and refill mine daily and complete teardown and wash weekly. It's been a few years and no issues 🤷

@op I have a similar one. The only downside is you have to take it apart and clean it every 4 or 5 days. Gunk builds up in the filter/pump and it gets all gross inside. Otherwise, great purchase.

Normal water bowls also grow gunk and should be cleaned regularly

"My OBSCENITIES kittens had to get a OBSCENITIES fountain bc they kept knocking over their OBSCENITIES water bowl."

I dunno, doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

When we first got our kitty a fountain, he would climb on top and play with the water or drink upside down.

Kitty fountains are pretty great!

Fountains are better, anyway. Constant circulation and filtration drastically improves water quality. I find my car drinks more water when it's trickling as well.

A car needs gasoline, not water, for your information.

If your car doesn't have water in it, you're going to have a very bad time

I mean….cat encapsulates cute and chaos combined. It is customary, conventional, compulsive, culmination of cat-ness.

Princess Caroline, is that you?

Maybe I’ll think they’re cute again tomorrow if the room is dry.
