This is Inti. He spent 5 years and 11 months at 2 shelters. He was very scared although I've visited him for months before adopting. He still hisses.
Inti is the ancient inca sun god.
He was adopted with Bri, 18 months old.
Bri was adopted and returned twice. He was also very scared at first.
Inti is slowing growing more confident .
He's very food motivated.
Bri is more adventurous and playful. They get along pretty well since they were together for more than a year at the shelter/foster.
They're now getting used to the new home and my former stray cat.
Between the two, there's a single brain cell.
Please adopt ♥️

I love them! Thank you so much for adopting!

Thank you for adopting these babies that other people might not understand or respect. They’re clearly in a perfect environment that will love and nurture them to become their best cat-selves <3

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful pair.
And good on you for adopting/rescuing. I like people who do that.

FIVE YEARS in a shelter!?

And 11 months

I never understood how someone can be so off with their expectations that they return a cat to the shelter. I mean, a cat of all animals, they're not exactly rocket science. There is a president-size hand full of situations I can think of that'd, maybe, justify a return, and non of those are on the cat. Thank you for giving those two a home! Hope they'll adjust well.

I got so pissed off at my aunt who returned an adopted shelter cat, just like I knew she would. It only took 3 days. She said he and her other cat were constantly fighting and hissing because "they're both alphas" (like that's a real thing) and she couldn't handle it. Stupid human.

My rescue kitty had the same return story. Brought back to the shelter twice. Once because “she wouldn’t come out”. And the second time because she made a poo outside the litter box. She is now the queen of our house. And self-appointed ruler of two large standard poodles.
graceinsheepsclothing
Was the poo outside the litter box a poo-dle?

"President-sized handfull?" I assume you're talking about the current prez and his weird, tiny hands.
GuerrillaschaukelnInDerTodeszone
That's correct. I thought if there are washing machine sized boulders and meteors as big as half a giraffe there's nothing wrong with using president-size handfulls to signify something rather tiny :-)
