Sixteen Years Later, This Fight Scene STILL Looks Good
The Spike/Electra fight from the Cowboy Bebop movie (2001). Honestly, the movie was forgettable aside from a few set battles and moments like this one. The series it's based on (which was made in 1998!) only looks dated because it's largely cell animation with early CGI sequences for some of the space scenes.
If you haven't watched Cowboy Bebop, you're seriously missing out. Whether you're into the animation, the story, the characters, or heck--even just the soundtrack, it's a master work. Shinichiro Watanabe (and, to an extent, Yoko Kanno) have never been so cool.

I listen to Yoko Kanno's music on a daily basis.

Have you ever seen an interview with her? She's like a cross between Yoko Ono and a cat--I swear at any moment, she'll just lick herself.

Not gonna lie... I cried at the end of the last episode... Like a man, though. Just saying.

Dude... The feels...

I feel like I would have gotten into Jazz music anyway as I got older, but this series accelerated that process by years, if not a decade

I was already into it because I played Jazz in high school and had an older brother who was into it, but yeah...point taken!
