Decided to attempt brownies from scratch without a recipe.

I think it turned out ok. I tried it shortly after it came out of the oven. Still need more time to set, i think.

I've only ever made box brownies, and didn't look at any recipes for brownies before i made this. I wanted to see how close i could get. They are good, but I think it needs less flour.

Here's the ingredients i used:

1 C sugar
1 C flour (will use 3/4 C next time)
1/2 C Hershey's special dark cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
3/4 C vegetable oil (1/2 C next time)
1/2 C milk
1 C chocolate chips

Baked at 325 for 35~40 minutes.

I think it would've probably been better if i added some vanilla.

Closeup. Sorry about the green. My phone case is fraying near the camera lens. Cut it off this morning.

Next morning. It has set, and became more fudgey. It's pretty good, i think I'll change the ratios for the next time. The edges are too cake-like.

My husband says they are "too dark." He doesn't like dark chocolate.

I tried that, accidentally whisked it and ended up with a chocolate quiche.
