Enclosure and rotary selector switch (rated for 20A, 120V)
Cutting out holes for mounting the switch and an indicator light, to show that the circuit is live
Test fitting the switch, and making a cutout in the back for the cables
Switch and indicator light installed. That means it's done, right?
Oh right, the inside bits...
A little messy, but it works
Complete!
And, it works - the first time!
A second switch added, and put into use
While this is a proof of concept for later builds, it's being put into use in a show now.

What are you planning on using this for?
RocketVan
Built for a small theatre in LA that frequently has more lights than dimmers, so they need to repatch mid-show.

As a theater elec...I am still confused. Is it a tester for light units? Or a patch switch?
RocketVan
And yes, you could buy a 4-channel dimmer pack for similar price, but this turns 4 dimmers into 12.
RocketVan
It's a patch switch. The male plug goes into a dimmer, the females go to three different circuits.
