#26 Before hurricanes here in South Florida, they will go around clearing dead and fallen brush to prevent this kind of thing.
LeifHietala
They might be rednecks, but it also looks to me like their backwoods engineering is spot-on. I'd bet money they took a bunch of test shots with calibrated weights and now exactly how far back to pull the seat to launch any rider directly to the middle of the landing pad.

Is this the money laundering I heard about?

#16 Also saving everyone else a lot of hassle, if that thing toppled you've got more than just replacing a tire to worry about, shifting it and getting it back upright would be a right pain

#11 Much better eye surgery results than I got in Dead Space 2.
idiotsonfire
That was the point I had to quit playing Dead Space 2. I couldn't get through that. Anything to do with something in the eye is awful to me.
williamshakesbeer
Man that section was so painful because if I recall correctly, you not only deal with the stress of that event over again when you failed, but also had to do a large portion of the game again to get to that point. The ending of Dead Space 1 was the worst for me, I feel like that's the closest I've been to having a literal heart attack lol.

#8 no matter how many times I watch this I can’t see it the right way. It looks like he’s in front of the telephone lines or whatever those are

It looks like a simple chain around the pool. Half assed safety rail maybe?
WackyWavingInflatableArmFlailingTubman
#3 aight I'd be a little sketched out doing this over dry land lmao. But looks like fun. I also thought they were going to launch the kid while he was halfway on
DidItForScience
Yeah, though they know what they're doing. That isn't redneck engineering. That is a professionally built launcher and a ~$10,000 BagJump airbag.

#14 The pilots who fly those planes have nothing but pure ice in their veins. The Blue Angels practice their maneuvers for hours upon hours while sitting in a quiet room on the ground before they even get in the cockpit.
These fuckers? "Nah, I'm just gonna use The Force."
gronzilla
Oh they practiced. Just not on the particular stunt they need to perform today
PineappleLoopsBroether
Unlike the blue angels, these pilots job actually matters and HAS to be done by someone.

#25 That is a lot of faith in that strap.
anender
Front axle could be chained inside the box truck. Straps just there in case tailgate/rear hatch got loose. Probably stuff inside that they don't want lost, too. Most likely, tires, given the rest of the load.
Lugh314159
Before he got back in the truck, he slapped it and said, "this ain't going nowhere". So we're good.
Atomic2
I just want to know the circumstances that lead to this transport.
RavnVidarson
#25 Truckers (should) know the exact height of their load, and (should) have planned their route carefully with that in mind.

The 11-foot 8-inch bridge agrees with you!
poscduke
By having a full semi trailer (with something hanging off the back of it too) being towed by a separate semi trailer it almost certainly exceeds maximum length regulations
Teganrose1
I think the video is more showing how much they tetrised the heck out of their load
TheobromineAddict
Looks to me like the load tires are deflated to lower the load height a few inches.
RavnVidarson
True, true

Block your exhaust without a potato! Overfill your tire without a pump! When you disconnect the setup, the tire goes flat again! LIKE MAGIC!! All this, and MORE! For just 12 easy payments of $99.99 and 3 pictures of your mom's butthole. Limited time only; while supplies last.

Damn I’d be good if I had the money.

Those plastic parts on the exhaust pipe will smell WONDERFUL as well
Skevoid
Good thing he clipped off the zip tie, for what is apparently a permanent fixture on his exhaust now.
CabooseDM
the bees aren't stinging the hornet, they are swarming him to over heat him, which causes him to die and the bees to go back to doinf bee stuff
RecurringNightmare
*her...female hornet...
FelonyRaptor
Also, they're not revolting. They're protecting.

It also illustrates that in a physical combat numbers will win.
FlyingYakAttack
Fully knowing this I saw them swarming the wasp and said "you're cooked, buddy"
R289
The hornet was cranky, and just needed a hug. Wholesome bees.
Goldensands
No, the hornet is a POS and needed to die. Like an oligarch and oppressed workers.
Z0op
Yeah bees dont sting other than last resort as they detach their lowerbody to do so (and die). So if they are on something and still in one piece, thats a pretty good tell that they aint stinging
Feralkyn
The loss of a sting's actually supposedly only on mammalian skin; they can (from what I've read in various sources) other arthropods without issue. I'd imagine they're stinging the SHIT out of that hornet too.
Kbantar
I think with at least the Asian giant hornet, bee stingers can't penetrate their exoskeletons very well.
firlefranz
A Japanese bee colony eliminates invading hornets by essentially „roasting“ them with their body heat.
They do this by waiting for the right moment and then “grilling” the hornet with their combined efforts. Bee bodies can withstand temperatures of up to 46 degrees Celsius before dying from heat damage, whereas hornets die at just 44 degrees.

That sounds dangerously close to bees cooking each other too lol.
FelonyRaptor
Thankfully they're good with maths and thermodynamics
Kbantar
You do what you can do. Even if you lose a few in the process, it keeps the scout hornet from relaying the hive's location to its group.
GoodChange
#13 is there a step two to this plan?
m4uboy
profit!
SalmonTheWise
No more steps, you ride on the motorbike to your destination.
GoodChange
I don’t think it’s gonna run that well with a blocked exhaust pipe
Subtilico
And how often do you think the wheel can turn with that hose on it?
Skevoid
It's not blocked, it just makes your rear tyre bigger as you go!
SalmonTheWise
No run, ride.
