#13 over 100 bucks but think of the mischief you could get up to if you strapped this baby to a remote controlled car

#1 That's an additional $15 .

And you have to drink Guinness. (Not my thing)

#13 So this is literally just an ad. Not even a funny ad. Just an ad.

#10 it’s worrisome how fascinated people are with his murder.

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Yup. Downvoting because of weird Jesus worship in the middle of a dump.

Not a game changer, just a tire changer idiot.

I don't know why but I'm sure I can guarantee that in less than 5 mins someone did a dick pic and gave it to their friend or wife.

#10 Call me an edgelord atheist, but fuckn hell this morbid romanticism of torture and execution is fuckn gross

3 months ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

It's a death cult, and the only thing that makes them happy is to die and kill

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah no that was pretty off putting. To put it mildly.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I think you nailed it.

#13 looks useful, but I'd want do know if that jack has a non-power dependent locking mechanism while the car is lifted. Or... will I die at the same time as the battery does?

3 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

It will obviously stay extended even without power. You just won't get to get your car down again before charging it up.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sounds like a screw jack, so the ram shouldnt move without intervention on the screw. Not a active lock since its just depending on screw friction, but shouldnt drop if you lose power

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why not just buy a hydraulic floor jack? My harbor freight one has been going for a decade now. No issues.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe it lets you down slowly as the voltage drops, so if you get stuck is a slow horrifying, nah it sounds/looks like a screw jack so lots of friction, but hopefully some sort of back up pin to stop movement.

I mean you should always use jack stands if you get under the vehicle. I haven't ever had a jack fail. But I did have a vehicle at a scrap yard fall once. I saw it coming so I wasn't under it at the time. But that shit is still scary.

As a mechanic this doesn't look useful at all. Looks like a plastic gimmick that looks good under ideal conditions on video. How well will it work in a mud puddle? Or even standing water? Is it waterproof enough to even use in the rain? How long will the charge last in the middle of winter when it's been sitting in your trunk unused for 2 years? Spend half as much on a good hydraulic bottle jack. Since the Amazon page doesn't say it's water resistant it likely isn't or it would be a "feature".

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

3sec after. takes that long for the jack to go down.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is possibly the sole purpose of the dump to be an ad for, do your proper research if you're interested in something like that for sure

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah, as someone who's had a jack slip on them while under a gooseneck, and only survived because I wouldn't go under without a backup to catch it if it fell, ain't no way in hell I'm EVER trusting something like this. One bad signal and it'd crush you to death.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Agree, I've been looking for a decent hydraulic jack for my car. This one is 4.4/5 on Amazon for what it's worth. https://a.co/d/05RcKglS

Don’t use anything with a battery like that. It would be dead by the time you’d actually need to use it.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the spam scammer's ad, for which you downvote the entire post to oblivion.

Op posts all sorts of stuff and there’s never any links to products.

#14 What's this guy doing with the beans? Checking that they're roasted exactly right?

3 months ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

I roast coffee (smaller batches, 750g) and could do this.... But I don't give a shit about fine tuned consistency. It is what it is, and I'm going to drink it anyways :) I do pay attention to smell and sound, which is enough to ballpark it.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, the difference between dark roast and burnt is a few seconds

3 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Yup, little testing collection tube thingie pulls out a few to examine and if they're good they can be released from the roaster.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like QA. Top part should be sample base for perfect beans. He takes the samples until they're about right. Then he dumped the whole batch once confirmed.

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That’s what I’m assuming too. I wonder if the top portion of that little box he has is glued or permanent so he can reference what roasting color he’s aiming for

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not glued. You can see the beans moving in the little box.
