#2 But why wouldn't you paint those fucked up walls first?
idiotsonfire
The fact that there's no drywall or cover of any kind on the walls tells me that this is a "paid enough to do the most basement dweller dogshit job imaginable" type of company.

I'm on desktop and don't feel like counting down to whatever the post number is but that bean mirror is spotless while the wall and floor are hosed.
pullingsixty
Take your cursor to the top right of the post, click on the three dots, scroll down to comment, number of post is in the comment window.
TerribleBot
May I add that they only appear when the mouse cursor goes over the image.
pullingsixty
Thanks, forgot that part.
KaijuIsekai
If you click the ellipsis on the top right of the image/video there is an option to comment. it will automatically enter the appropriate number at the beginning of the comment text field.
ScarlettNape
Well look at that... Ya know, a few years ago I actually *asked* how people create the little "hover and show the individual image" links... apparently my Google-fu wasn't strong enough at the time to find it on my own, and no one could be bothered. Thank you for the tip!
mirrorz
I browse in classic view so the ellipse are not on every image/video. It only appears once at the bottom of the whole post just before the comment section. I was hovering over it while taking this screenshot.
TerribleBot
It appears when you move the mouse on the image.

#5 Ever wonder why Cough Drops are called that? This is why! They used to make them like Drop Candy (which is what these are), except they would be 'medicated' with things like mint and honey to soothe coughing and sore throats

Could have painted the wall first, so the inside of the cupboards doesn't look like shite. Not really this guy's job though, and it's nice to see a guy who knows how to use his Festools :P
AwwGeeRick
Yeah I thought this was a festool ad.
nickelrocket
Yeah. This is why I don't want to DIY our kitchen. I'll assemble flat-pack cabinets but cutting in the countertops? F no.
Imherefortheanimalpics
Where the fuck are these people when I need to hire?! If I had these tools I'd be unstoppable at my house!
slopwizard
How did this one dude complete the job faster and better than every contractor crew I have ever seen IRL
CornCobMcGee
Because im 99% sure its an ad for Festool products. His little dolly even has the signature green on it. That and I have no idea why he was willing to use a hole saw from the back like that. I always piloted from the back and went from the front to prevent visible blowout. But I guess you gotta show off the vacuum shroud somehow...
toolzgalore2
#8 wait, you aren't done, there is still a bunch of shit you need to do... Also I think that tool is meant to be used from the back so it doesn't ruin the outside like that
TerribleBot
And please join the parts before welding !
ForrestDwellingDonkey
I use one of these regularly, definitely better to use from the back but if using from the front, strip the paint off first, makes the final result much cleaner
straha242
Also feels like it would work even better if you rotated it so the wire crosses the crack multiple times?
Alexap30
Now that it's cracked the forces applied will try to pull it apart, so that's the direction you want most of the wire to bare those forces. Also with so many wires its meterial integrity is like Swiss cheese, so you want the wire to grab as match material from either side to secure it better.
OnlyWantToSayOneThing

Did you make that masterpiece? Either way, thanks that genuinely cleared up the other person's question, which I also had.

Spent like 5 minutes writing and rewriting a paragraph and each version was more confusing, why use many word when Ms paint will do?

Ah, right, makes sense. Cheers!

#20 The last boat ramp I used was covered in a thick algae slime. Almost no one was able to get their boat out without at least some slipping and sliding.
This ramp appears damp and the tires on a cybertruck are less capable than plastic Blacktron LEGO tires. Thing is a fucking joke and towing anything more than a bicycle rack with one should be illegal.
TerribleBot
That's what this video shows : that cybertruck has to be towed by a real truck ...
Nightcaste
#8 that was more than 30 seconds even after all the jump cuts, and you're supposed to do it from the inside so it doesn't look like ass.
TerribleBot
And correctly join the parts before welding !

Applied physics is a very broad umbrella.

#2 No doubt about the skill but I fucking hate all of the materials he's using. It's ugly, boring, and joyless.
NinjaCongo
Various more or less fancy forms of chip board. A shit material that was supposed to be cheap and practical and is none of those things. It was created by the forestry industry because their unsustainable methods produce very little quality wood and lots of chips. Also, it's planned obsolescence - you're supposed to buy new interiors every ten years or so. Chip board ages like milk and once water gets past the laminate it swells up and any screws are now loose. It can't be recycled nor reused.
NinjaCongo
AND and if you throw it out behind a shed it swells up with rain and starts molding and the glue gets really toxic in combination with mold. You can burn the stuff but do not inhale those fumes. It is shit, like so much else in modern construction materials.
pullingsixty
I've still got a pile of it in my basement from a job I did years ago, chipboard was a customer request. My only option is to take it to the transfer station where I will have to pay to dump it. I've become allergic to the dust when cut. Another job needed a kitchen refresh, new cupboard doors, hardware, and so on. For convenience I went through Home Depot for the doors. I picked from a sample case of wooden doors but when they arrived they were all made from HDF with fucking paper covers!
pullingsixty
Nice set of tools though.
TerribleBot
Festools are the (expensive) set needed for that professional.
I'm not selling anything, but I'll let my next kitchen be done by a pro that have them.

#14 I bet it is a pain in the ass to gather that back up.
lichtly
Oh it'd be so bad. That stuff is pain in the ass to deal with when just transporting and loading it into whatever machine is going to use it. Cleaning that up?! Fuck that. That's probably about 5,000 lbs on the road already.
garbuhj
It's unusable waste now, just pick it up with a shovel machine and right into an adjacent dump truck
OtterlyMagnificent
Yeah. It says the red car stopped him from losing his load, but I watched the whole thing and ...red car aint stopped shit.
