I tested it about a half dozen times, thinking I tapped instead of swiped. Nope. Swiping opened the ad. Imgur, I am disappoint.
Edit instead of double dipping comment: surely this is an accidental and temporary oversight and will not be a trend in the future.

you can swipe past them, and they will open and play sound. It's great at midnight when your sound is turned up for alarm clocks
