Bonjour!

It's Wednesday, and we're about halfway there until the weekend. And until I get to see Tumilik again. It will be just the two of us for almost all weekend, heh.

Today, easy. Loading two big pipes, totalling twelve metres in length, and 3.27 metres wide. At four tonnes a piece, it's a fairly light load.

These bad boys are bound for Prince Edward Island.

So, let's go down East.

A year ago we lost Ozzy. So, today, we'll listen to some of his music, as a solo artist, and with Black Sabbath.

Crossing from New Brunswick to Prince Edward Island. Being oversize I have to get a clearance before crossing, and usually I take a picture of the place/phone where drivers get their okay. And, well, today, I forgot.

And, on the other side, I have to report at the weigh station to get the oversize permit, allowing me to drive on the island. I must provide the registrations for the truck and trailer, papers about where I'm going, where it's been loaded, and dimensions in metric.

At 3.27 metres wide, I was cleared to proceed to Charlottetown, where I was planning on stopping for the night.

And done for today. Delivery is only about twenty minutes from here.

Alright, time to get out there for some training. I'm now combining my military preparation training with my Muay Thai cardio. The heavy bag drills I do at home, when I'm home.

I had the luxury to have the Confederation Trail right behind where I was parked. A cousin of mine was here a last week, with his wife, and they biked the entire trail.

In case you're wondering, here's the info about this trail, according to the Prince Edward Island tourism page: "The Confederation Trail runs tip-to-tip across Prince Edward Island and is best explored on foot or bicycle. Built on the decommissioned railway line, the main trail is 273 kilometres from west to east - Tignish to Elmira and 449 kilometres in total. Branch trails run through small towns and communities including the heart of Charlottetown. The gradients along this rolled stone dust trail never exceed two per cent making it suitable for all fitness levels."

So, yeah. I guess with such a trail running almost everywhere, it's a bit difficult to find excuses to not go out there and do some exercising.

For my run, I had different music than what I featured today, hehe.

Oh, ok. I thought I was over there. Good.

In all I did six kilometres, at 11:30pm. Not bad of a run I guess, after a eleven hours drive where I only stopped for fueling up, and my oversize clearance for PEI.

That's it. Time to sleep. Tomorrow, offloading not too far from here, and then a 1200 kilometres drive.

Easy.

I have such a random ask... can you spell Tumilik phonetically so I know how to say it in my head? I've been so frustrated with trying to figure it out, realizing it's probably not complicated, but still just fixated on learning how to say your pups name properly.

I've never had locals look at me sideways when I pronounced it "Tumeelk". I'm sure it's wrong, but maybe they're used to everyone being wrong lol. At least I know how to pronounce worcestershire and Toronto (only pronounce ONE of the T's or locals will know you're a tourist... I won't tell you with T to pronounce though).

The secret to pronouncing Toronto correctly is to pronounce as little of it as possible.

"Tronna" is the easiest I tell tourists. Cause it's just a mess of syllables really, as long as you don't pronounce two Ts.

I remember a close friend's bday, known him a decade, and we were at a nice place downtown and he got up to say thanks to everyone and he said something like "It's so nice to have so many friends, families, memories here in ToronTo" and hte whole table stopped.

Me: "Wait, you're not from here?"

For the Tu-, the "u" is like the "u" in French, and very similar to the "u" in Norwegian or Swedish. It's a short "u".

The -mi- is like "me" in English, but keep the vowel short.

And the -lik part is similar to lick, but with a dry/short L sound.
