EU Referendum: Battle of the Thames

Jun 15, 2016 1:10 PM

A Leave protest along the River Thames met a Remain counter-protest led by singer Bob Geldof in an apparent attempt to prove to Americans that the UK can do shambolic embarrassing politics just as well as they can.

Though the "battle" mainly consisted of Geldof and Farage calling each other wankers and the two camps making rude hand gestures at each other, Geldof's flagship was attacked by a water cannon and the police had to step in as overzealous protesters on both sides tried to board their opposition's boats.

In England, protest with water cannon, in America, protest that end up in a fist fight.

I assume the guys trying to board the other boats weren't looking for vigorous debate
