Marvel Cinematic Universe and TV shows in the order they should be watched

Thanks, now I have to go watch these in order all over again. Take your +1 and go be extremely helpful some place else.

I was looking for this... thanks op!

I know a guy...

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This infographic is a mess. I can think of ten better ways to present the list without haveing to look up down left right to find the title.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I know, it's like "The order you should watch them, but written in a completely DIFFERENT order. Good luck"

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was literally thinking last night "I need a film/TV order for these" - spooky that it's posted now.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like that they added daredevil. Great show!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah - I'm just going to watch Fantastic Four : Rise of the Silver Surfer over and over, and assume that will make sense of everything.

11 years ago | Likes 499 Dislikes 3

I laughed

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've spent years avoiding those movies so I won't' hate Chris Evans.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You're doing Galactus' work now. Go forth and spread what you learn my good man/woman.

11 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

Real Galactus or sparkly spacefart Galactus?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

half of agents of shield s1 was an ad for Winter Soldier. Also, that should be watched before watching the latter half of the season

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 354 Dislikes 4

Loki's all "You done yet?"

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah the perfect loop

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This. I like it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First time I've seen this! +1 for you my dear friend

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I was really hoping Hawkeye didn't shoot his bow.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The style kind of reminds me of the Patapon games:

11 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

That's exactly what I thought. Pata pata pata poom.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Pom pom pata pom!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

FEVER!!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I ain't got time for that shit.gif

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Hey! Language!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Saying Daredevil is skippable is like saying having sex with Scarlett Johanssen is skippable. It doesn't tie into the MCU, but who cares?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nooooooooooooooo this is chronological. They are meant to be watched in release order. This one is better: http://imgur.com/AWFl6zs

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where is Howard the Duck?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not even 3 months ago...with same title...

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 7

And? I appreciate the info anyhow. Didn't see the last one.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Uhh. In S2 of Agents of SHIELD, they say they're calling the Avengers.... Which would mean it comes before Ultron. Right?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those last three episodes take place immediately after Ultron. It's episode 19 when they make the call.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You mean the shitty Fantastic Four movies don't fit in this universe?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No, because they're owned by Fox.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They suck anyways. Fox can keep them!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

S.H.I.E.L.D, then onto guardians of the galaxy, then whadda ya know....right back to S.H.I.E.L.D

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should be "chronological order". People can watch in whichever order they want, some will even say by release date is the correct order.

They wrote them so that they wouldn't have too much confusion with the plot, introducing a few parts at a time. Watching it 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 "chronologically" would have content that was referenced in the future films that were released first.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think most will say that. No idea why anybody in their right mind would watch Agent Carter so early.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My sentiments exactly, but apparently an unpopular opinion. I prefer to watch in order of release date.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I don't know what kind of crazy person would do otherwise. (Except for people who don't care about order at all, of course.)

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I totally think it should be by release date. If you didn't know any of the characters or stories, you'd miss out on a lot of things in Cap1

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really need a Marvel Short with Phil Coulson trying to recruit Matt Murdock to SHIELD.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think I would prefer to see them in order of release, which is not much different from this. Also, see the One-Shots.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was like "oh god who would do that?" But then I remembered I'm watching DW chronologically from River Song's perspective.

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

How's that going? I've always wanted to try that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Heartbreaking! River meets a man who knows everything about her- and then she's in love with a man who barely knows her.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You just changed my life. I've rewatching Doctor Who right now and that's what I'm doing once I'm finished.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How does one do that? Is there a list?

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Thank you for this!!!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What they said ^ it is just heart breaking at times x

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nice username mang.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thats just like your opinion mang

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i want this but for all the x-men movies.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Are the x-men movies in any way connected to the marvel cinematic universe?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. Fox owns the rights to X

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know that, I just thought that they might have done some subtle nod to each other without me noticing it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, well probably not - even though it would be awesome if that happened!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm so glad they aren't. X-men is different from the rest of Marvel. Fits in more with the DC "tone"

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Listen to afsds, or just view in release order. Or Origins, First Class, X-Men, X2, The Last Stand, The Wolverine, then Days of Future Past.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

^u^ thanks

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is mostly in chronological order, but there is a bit of overlap. First Class takes place before most of Origins's story does.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Silly c|net, of COURSE the Daredevil show isn't "skippable". It's part of the MCU, which means it'll tie into the other shows and movies

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

They are referring to the Hulk.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The skippable note at the bottom is referring to The Incredible Hulk (4). The second note is for Daredevil and it doesn't say to skip it.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Ah I see, I had the symbols backwards. But I agree, Hulk only ties into the MCU for the post-credit scene with Tony Stark and General Ross

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well General Ross is gonna be in Civil War.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Makes sense, Marvel often crosses titles

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used this to know when to stop watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before Age of Ultron. Apparently it didn't matter, though?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There was an episode of AOS right before AOU that set up the movie. I think that episode was the Tues. before the U.S. release date.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah if by set up you mean that one of the characters had a random vision about it for no reason that had no impact on the movie or the show

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Noooo, that episode where Maria wanted the team to infiltrate and retrieve Loki's scepter. Then Fury got a hold of it, just in time for AOU.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But then they lost it again in between that and AoU, so it didn't matter.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I guess they did it so Thor would need an excuse to be back on Earth & to connect the Infinity Stones in the average moviegoer's mind.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just like Age of Ultron!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My weekend is planned out

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I did this just a few weeks ago - watched EVERYTHING on the list, in order, except the Agent Carter series (because I don't have it)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I havent watch Agents of Shield and Antman yet. But id like to start from the beginning again.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

go for it... I did this, then the next weekend did all the Hobbit and tLotR movies... then the next did Batman 90's movies and the newer 1s

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(I had a bunch of PLT to take off work before I lost it... and no life)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

next i want to do Star Wars. Never seen a single one

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you're willing and able to use a VPN, it's available on Netflix Scandinavia.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am willing... and able... but if I wanted to even technically break the law, I could just torrent it - I appreciate the tip, though

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just did the math, this marathon would take 3 days 2 hours and 50 min. or 74hrs and 50 mins. or 4491 minutes.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Impressive. We have a four day weekend coming up soon. I don't need to sleep much.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you :) you may need some caffeine haha

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this is what I've been wanting, I've seen so few of these I have some people very very disappointed in me. Thank you sir.

11 years ago | Likes 495 Dislikes 8

I would recommend watching Winter SOldier before SHIELD 15 honestly. They take place at the same time but that movie should come first

11 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

You meant SHIELD 16, right? I guess realistically, episodes 16 and 17 would be intercut with TWS, but that would be weird.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seconded! Now I've got my holiday weekend set! +1

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm disappointed in the people disappointed in you

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah johnnyhitler get your shit straight.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should go by this one: http://imgur.com/AWFl6zs OP's is in chronological order, not release. And has a few in inaccuracies to boot.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its missing some, go here http://www.imdb.com/list/ls070026068/ and there should be all past and future films/episodes.

I feel like I could be.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

can this be watched without the shield and daredevil series? do they have any impact on the movie plot/story lines?

11 years ago | Likes 99 Dislikes 5

At least one plot point from Agents of Shield was referenced in Age of Ultron. But nothing too significant.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think this is assuming you want to watch EVERYTHING, and this is the way to have it all make sense. But ignoring AOS wont impact the films

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can definitely skip Daredevil or leave it until the end. AoS doesn't affect the movie plot lines much, but if you want to watch AoS 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

definitely watch the movies in between where this chart places them. The movies affect the show a lot. 2/2

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Watch Daredevil cause it's good. AoS is pretty optional right now, but the plotlines it's setting up will def pay off later in the movies.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Daredevil is the like watching any of these movies for 13 hours. It is so worth the watch

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Dude. Don't not watch Daredevil.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed on Not not not watching Daredevil!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, but watch Daredevil anyway. It's great.

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Daredevil makes the whole MCU look like it's not even trying, but that is all the impact it has (so far)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not really, but keep in mind they are leading to larger things; Inhumans and The Defenders respectively

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I have a feeling they'll introduce Kamala Khan in the upcoming season with popularity the comic has been getting as the new Ms. Marvel.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't HAVE to watch either, but at least watch the hallway fight scene from the 3rd episode of Daredevil. It must be seen!!!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

haha I'm currently going through the timeline with my housemate, and we've just gotten up to item 9 (yep, did Carter), so relevant Q! 44x40m

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Leave Daredevil til the end. It'll distract you from those last few episodes of AoS S2, which really tie into Age of Ultron. DD isn't 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

relative to anything else in the MCU yet. 2/2

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're my favorite parts.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

BUT Daredevil is AWESOME

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

S.H.I.E.L.D. will eventually have impact on the story lines.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It kind of already does....

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meh.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Daredevil is less linked with the plot that SHIELD but they're both a good watch. SHIELD is a bit naff for the first couple episodes though

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

naff?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

British slang, boring or lame. Probably could have used a better word to describe it but whatever...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just finished agents of shield. Its worth the watch completely in my opinion.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You don't HAVE to watch Daredevil, its optional. But its also probably the best single thing in the MCU, so I would suggest watching it.

11 years ago | Likes 126 Dislikes 2

Yeah, seriously. Adds nothing to the movies, but damn, so good. The hallway fight in ep2, holy crap. Better than anything from the movies.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Honestly, Daredevil is a hell of a lot better than AoS.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Vincent D'onofrio is amazing as the Kingpin.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Vincent D'onofrio is amazing, period.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This. Daredevil is a fucking amazing piece of storytelling and D'Onofrio does a fucking amazeballs job as Wilson Fisk

11 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

You know, when I first saw him as Kingpin I didn't buy it, but I kept watching, and he rocked the hell out of it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, his being a monster pretending to be not was epic.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He convinced me his character didn't believe he was a monster. Sometimes I love being wrong about an actor and their role.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dat second episode

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Dat every episode

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Absolutely loved the series but I'll be the first to admit a few of the episodes got a little slow.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The hallways fight scene in Episode 2 is what made me believe the show was going to work. It is easily in my all time top 10 fight scenes.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

AoS S2 explains why there are ppl with powers that are like mutants, but theyre not, & how the helicarrier arrives at the end of A2.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They aren't mutants because of copyright and the company separation of the MCU. They're not even allowed to use the word mutant.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why he said, "people with powers that are like mutants." Pretty clear Marvel's using Inhumans in place of mutants.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is sort of why I always hated comics in the past. I mean there are two sub-races of people with powers in the same planet? Seriously?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm glad the MCU could only pick one, albeit, the left overs. But the MCU is presenting superhero-verse in the most realistic way possible.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Daredevil: yes. but why would you? unless you dont have netflix. Daredevil is amazing.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Agents of shield prefaces the Inhumans movie

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also Daredevil is going to preface the Defenders movie/series.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Agents of SHIELD helps fill in some of the plot holes from the movies and answers some unanswered questions but you're fine not watching it.

11 years ago | Likes 166 Dislikes 0

I watched AoS got to S1E7 before Thor TDW, watched both Thor films, went back to AoS & was like... this adds nothing.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It adds plot confusions if you ask me. Marvel Studios and Marvel Television have an uneasy relationship. Personally I don't rate AOS or AC 1

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

You really should watch it, though. It's good, and it's giving a bunch of background for the Inhumans

11 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 0

I loved it. Just finished the other night.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It aint done yet though.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean up to current release. Not "finished".

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You had me at Inhumans

11 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

But... Inhumans was literally the last thing he said...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Expanding on AoS' variable quality, the first ten episodes or so were more about establishing the characters and their relationships.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Once you start to care about them, good or bad, then they go and really make you actually care about them.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Personally I'm waiting for the 50 states Initiative. With the way the story is progressing it shouldn't be more than two more movies.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would explode my brainmeat if there were to be some Dark Avengers spin offs

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just know that the first half of season 1 vacillates between okay to boring to bad. But then Winter Soldier happens and it's GREAT!

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

gets better I feel by episode 9

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes it struggled to get into it's stride, but I think they've settled into it.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0
