The albums Earthling and Outside from this era were such an interesting pivot for Bowie. A LOT of great tracks on both albums.

Thats an interesting song. Watching interviews with him, reading what he's written about it... this song comes up in my mind a lot recently. In a positive way, Bowie was scared of the reality of how American influence hits everywhere. How even GOD is becoming American in foreign lands, how our brand of culture is invading everywhere. I do believe the silver lining with all the shit going on is that this fades a bit. That the greed that drives others to mimic our bullshit fades somewhat.

Oh, fantastic fucking song. Rammstein is my workout shit, can't understand anything so I don't get lost in it but they're sooooo fucking good you don't need to understand the lyrics to know whats going on. I love all their videos, they put in the production. Angst is one I turn people onto now adays, the translation is silly as shit so I ignore that hah.
