#3 One approach is to name the coins for the metal they're made of and *not* make them of silver or especially gold. In one of my settings, the coins are copper, melchior (alloy of copper and nickel), and electrum. The latter two are called melks and lecters as shorthand. Coppers are small enough not to really be a thing for travelers, mostly just a medium for barter values among villagers, so most of the time they're just marked in a ledger.

Agree! I was 18 when I first came across them in college as a freshman. I devoured all I could find in the university library. I think they hold up because of how emotionally true they are and how protective he was of their purity. I am so grateful he refused to sell out

I refuse to be a manager. We have gone through 10 in 10 years. Some lasted a couple years buy many only about 6 months. My coworker was just promoted to manager this week. She is 23 years old and all her staff is in their late 30s/early 40s. I wish her luck.

I had six different managers in 12 months. Some were fired, some necessitated my team moving to different divisions in the organization and some changed the entire focus of my team to different goals.
I'm proud to say my team survived the entire process intact, because my team of 12 people is responsible for 35% of the revenue of a company with 750 employees.

#3 Well part of the worldbuilding the first person mentions would be to just introduce colloquial/slang terms for the money to make it more readable *and* realistic sounding.
Of course no one would say "a hundred Trade League Silver Gyrblonks", unless there was a reason to specify that they're talking about that exact currency.
You can still name them *somewhere*, but have the dialogue go "a hundred silver" or "a hundred gyrs", or something. Because that's how people would realistically speak.

I’ve found once an incompetent manager gets into power they hire incompetent employees. They wouldn’t purposely hire someone that could potentially replace them. I saw an entire department get dissolved and everyone reassigned and duties dispersed to other departments because the incompetence was so prevalent.

Perfect time to binge it as it was canceled and capped off with a movie that provided an open ended but satisfying ending. I think Adult Swim was just not pleased with what they were getting vs the time it took to produce. It used to be a really common joke to measure how long people are willing to wait for stuff (less popular than the current GTA6 jokes) but it would be years between seasons. I hope but won't hold my breath for more movies a la Futurama which led to revival
