My Izhevsk Mosin Nagant
Built in 1925, it has a hexagonal receiver. It's apparently rare, most likely saw action during world war two. Always kept under lock, even though there are no 7.62x54r rounds in the house. Safety is always first.

Izhevsk Hex receivers aren't all too rare, unless thats an M38. Is that an M38?

Nah, it's not, it's an 1891 Model. It's not as rare as a tula would be, but the Hexagonal receivers are still sought after by collectors.

That is for sure. The hex m38 are a 9/10 for rarity. You would had a unicorn on your hands

Considering there is no safety on this gun I dont keep mine loaded either. Fun guns to shoot though. I have 1937 M 91-30 and a 1938 M44.

Actually there is a safety, if you pull your bolt back and turn it clockwise it will lock onto the side piece. It's tough, but it works.

Jesus, thats incredibly difficult. I know about chambering and then releasing the firing pin but not about the twist for safety.

Safety is always first, but that doesn't necessitate having your firearms locked up when not in use. Plenty of ways to safe store sans lock

It's not in a safe, it's hung on the wall as it's a beautiful rifle, By locked up I was referring to the trigger-lock.

My statement still stands. You don't need to have a lock on a gun for it to be stored safely.

I agree with your statement, however a lock also deters thieves. Not to worry though, It is cleaned weekly and does see some firing.

Check out Archangel for a badass stock conversion which gives the option of a 10 round detachable bottom load magazine.

The Archangel stock does look beautiful, but I wouldn't alter this firearm as it is historical and just lovely. Perhaps with a Chinese copy.
