It used to amaze me at a certain point how many people were so anti-modern-medicine. Until one little nuance hit me during a documentary: people don't always understand that for serious diseases, it's a statistics game. The distrust after a misdiagnosed disease or treatment that does not work is one of the reasons people don't believe it anymore. To have to explain to people that the odds of getting seriously sick after a vaccine drops dramatically which on a national scale is a literally a life

Those who don't respect fauci probably think AIDS was a good thing. I literally had one lady tell me that AIDS was sent by God to rid the world of "the gays". That was back in the 80's and things have changed - except, the young generation of phobic losers probably couldn't spell AIDS, let alone know who was responsible for making it a manageable disease.

Nah, I just had a relative go off on Fauci today, on a totally unrelated thing, so it inspired me. It isn't in the news at all, just a personal inspiration. I was pissed off. I was in school with this dude and know he all but failed high school biology and was pretending to be an expert denigrating Dr Fauci's work on COVID. I came home and got all indignant and made a meme.

I’m surprised, I have several family members who were the same, then Covid killed some other family members, and they just double down on the conspiracies and denialism, they say vaccines killed them even though they were unvaccinated. They say they “caught” the vaccine by hugging vaccinated people and that’s why they died. There’s so many people in our country that are just completely gone, can’t be saved.
