I'm 33 and haven't been carded in more then 10 years. But I am going gray and have a foot long beard. My wife gets carded every time though.

Law-ish. In Indiana, if someone looks under 40 they need to be carded. Over 40? No ID needed.

Same in Georgia. There's a button on the register that states the customer is over 40, if the cashier thinks you're over 40 you're good.

In Tennessee you don't legally have to ID anyone, but if you sell to a minor, it's a huge fine.

I’m pretty sure that’s true everywhere, the “ID under age X” is a company policy, not a government one.
